Post » Thu May 03, 2012 6:36 am

This is what I had from the last thread. I'm just setting up the thread for now and I'll go back for the rest of what I put.
Theres 2 weapons threads but there isn't a armor or clothes thread, whats up with that?
What I would like:
Batman costume(can have some armor or not I don't care)
Superman costume(no armor)
Elvis Costume
Alien Costume(there is talking of a costume shop in Fallout 3)
Ninja Costume
Uncle Sam Costume
Chinese Armor
US Uniform(whatever the military was using for its soldiers when they weren't in armor)
Chinese Uniform
Desert Combat Armor(increase stealth in arid enviorns)
Winter Combat Armor(increase stealth in winter enviorns)
Forest Combat Armor(increase stealth in forset enviorns)
Urban Combat Armor(increase stealth in urban enviorns)
Cowboy Duster
Samurai Armor
Knight Armor
Light/Medium power armor(can be explained by it being lightweight ceramic)
Enclave Power Armors(very rare and only certain traders that specialize in hard to get items would have them, would include both the armors from Fallout 3 and new vegas)
Enclave Combat Armor(same as power armor)
Enclave Clothing(same as power armor)
Survivalist Armor
Survivalist Clothing
Survivalist Duster
SWAT Armor
Police Uniform
Riot Armor
Riot Shield
Tribal Shield
Wasteland Armor

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPKOJFGmU3M&feature=related(it should probably have negative charma effect though)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utmz9HNbTzs&feature=related(it could probably just be called something else and maybe be a in-between for the t-45 and t-51b)
http://postapocalypticearth.blogspot.com/2011/09/amazing-pa-themed-costume.html(just what I'm calling it)
The Iconoclast Raiders Armor and Supervisor Armor from the Pitt(could just be a suit and helmet that you find in a old mill)
Tesla Power Pack(such as was supposedly in F3[increases energy weapon stats/damage])
Tesla Combat Armor(increase's energy weapons damage)
Tesla Power Armor Mk4(bulkier than the Tesla Power Armor in F3 and as such makes you slower but increased DR/DT and energy weapons damage/stats)

Easter Egg Armors/Clothes:
Darth Vader Armor
Halo Power Armor(only for 360 and PC)
Clown Clothing

I'm assuming the notes were right in calling it T-51c as T-51b was basically the pinnacle of power armor pre-war.

I don't personally like the idea of "silly" clothes, or clothes from things outside of Fallout like Superman or Darth Vader, would destroy the atmosphere, blowing heads off whilst dressed as the dark knight. Set it seperately, trousers and shoes, torso, and head. Each one upgradeable, but functional, like the Roving Trader outfit from FO3, but actually put the pockets to use and stuff. Power armour should always feature somewhere, and being able to paint your power armour, or modify it like Ashurs Power Armour would be cool. In general I wouldn't mind if they didn't change the clothes a huge amount from FO3/NV but gave more customisation. Would also really like it if when wearing glasses it affects your view in first person, IE tinted/scratched or something.
Would love to see lighter power armours for sure, but I want normal clothes that you can upgrade, so that you can have something that you start out with, like a vault jumpsuit, that turns out to be a great piece of gear that you stick with instead of hoarding away.

Superman and Batman were both around BEFORE the divergence in the timeline.

So what? I am also not fond of the idea. I thought that super hero/villain quest in Fallout 3 was very silly, and I hope it is easter-eggishly uncanon.

Agreeing with SaveageBeatings, that quest in Canterbury Commons was godawful and made me cringe, by all means mod it with a PC, I'm sure it's supremely easy to roam the wastes as Batman, but if it was actually done I would be unhappy. Just because they were around before the divergence doesn't mean it's allowed in, it's 50's sci-fi lore that they love, not a superhero.

I'd just like two things:

1. Customization!
2. Back packs, satchels, bags and the like. what the hell are we supposed to carry all our guns in?

So they could be in the game and could let people pretend top be either super villains or super heroes. And the CC quest I'm sure is canon.

A backpack would be great for another "hardcoe mode", with several attachments to hold your guns, water and equipment, would be brilliant, as opposed to puling out a Fat Man from nowhere. having equipment slots combined with weight would be a great thing, would also come into sneak well, for example carrying a rocket launcher would make more noise on your back than a shotgun.

And a shotgun would make more noise than a silenced pistol.
