Coyote Mines House

Anyone else use this as player housing? Put some items into a locker in the kitchen area, and left for about 5 to 7 game days. Stuff was still in there, so i shipped everything over with me from the Goodsprings mojave express box. Going to keep a save file too incase my stuff disappears. Just curious if anyone has used this place for awhile?

Well, I don't exactly use it for housing, but I use it for a common resting point when I'm in a vicinity or if I'm travelling to Cottonwood Cove. I'm currently doing Legion playthrough and I because I never use fast-travel, I usually spend night in this house and continue towards the Fort the next morning to complete Legion quests. I agree that it's an interesting place, I have a habit of turning jukebox on each time I arrive to bring some life to it.

The 'Is this place safe to store stuff' question comes up a lot, it's interesting that people seem to have different experiences, from memory, I don't think I have EVER had things go missing in either FO3 or NV, and I collect / hoard stuff in obscene amounts ( there must be well over 200,000 caps of stuff in my Topps suite, two pristine versions of every weapon and armor. One in a store box, the other on 'display'. Hundreds of chems, crafting and food items, etc. etc.
Admittedly, I don't leave things lying around for long, going back and forth until I have recovered everything.

I usually have a pen and paper next to me, writing down stash locations as I go. I often wonder if some of these problems come from simply forgetting where stuff is? Obviously not in locations used for housing but outdoor locations especially. ( not trying to insult anyone, but they are massive games, I often forget what I was doing, hence the 'idiot guide' I have next to me, hehe. )

It's just I can't understand how someone playing the same version of the game on the same machine has problems when others have none.
I have probably done over 1500 hours on FO3 and maybe 500 or so on NV, and have cleared out every location of every item I found in both, so if there was a big problem regarding storage, I surely would have had it more often than never?

Maybe a vote / poll to see what the percentages are for each experience would be useful?

I don't know if stuff will disappear but I'm testing it now. I'll let you know after I find out. Also, I think this is the same house they used for the republic of dave in FO3. Anyone else notice that?

I think there are a couple of 'cut and paste' locations, some of the abandoned farmsteads give me deja vu, then I realise I HAVE been here before, it's the Regulators hideout, I used to cash in those fingers here!

p.s. While I'm here, I just had a re-read of my earlier post, and have to admit, it comes across as condescending, it really wasn't meant to look that way, sorry if anyone took offence.

I just HAD to set up home in the Brooks abandoned farmstead once I found it, it's my family name.
'Abandoned' no longer, hehe.

Arrrgghh, I quoted instead of editing!!!!!
Not helping myself with the 'I'm not really a knob' argument am I.
How do I delete a post? Wish I had spent some time looking at the tool bar thingy!
