S.P.E.C.I.A.L help

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 9:39 am

So I've not played Fallout: New Vegas since around about August 2011.

I have all the DLC.

At the start I put 3 into Strength and 2 into Endurance

I then use every perk I get towards getting these up to 10 using intense training, though I can leave them at 9 becuase of the NV Medical Clinic, right? (Question 1)

Now, I need to know is there any DLC that gives me additional perks towards my special WITHOUT strings attached? As in "you get extra X in day but lose Y in the night" ect.

Why would you put so little in Strength and Endurance?

And Intensive Training is a perk that adds one to your SPECIAL every time you get it.

1) All SPECIAL start at 5, then I add 3 to strength and endurance.

2) I know what it is, I've been using it for 4 years...

1) Sorry, I read it as you set Strength to 3 and Endurance to 2, it's confusingly written.

2) That is the best option, all of the others have draw backs like Early Bird where for the first twelve hours of the day you get +1 to all of your SPECIAL skills while the last twelve hours of the day get a -1.

1) Sorry about that. :P

2) So, should get me Strength to 8 and my Endurance to 7 using intense training to get them to get get them to 10?

Is there no DLC that gives me a bonus like this? What about OWB

None that I can think of that don't also give a negative.

I guess they wanted the Intensive Training perk to be useful until you reached the maximum level.

Ok. It's going to be a long time before I get a different, useful perk.

Though, I just remembered the artificial body parts you get in OWB.
Doesn't That: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Reinforced_Spine give you a +2 strength? Which means I will only need to increase my strength to 7, get the implant and then get this perk and I will have 10, giving me more to put into others, which also means less Intense training used?

And also, This: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_Man%27s_Burden gives me a special point when I launch the nukes, so therefore, one less Intense Training and one more perk? ^_^

I can't remember but I'm pretty sure the artificial spine gives you +1 to your strength. Why don't you just check the vault wiki to be sure?
