Why does the space suit in NV not give you the ability to breath underwater?
I mean, if it's good for a vacuum, why doesn't it work submerged? Astronauts train in water tanks!

Yea, I thought so, too. However, you can get a re-breather (adds underwater breathing) later on, by following the Boomer quest line. :wink:

This could be it. Since ghouls can't get radiated and are probably not gonna leave the ships while in space. Also if you don't kill all the feral ghouls, you can see them preparing to get into the ships without a space suit on.

I never knew he meant it until I did a stealth playthrough. As soon as I entered from the side entrance I booked it in stealth mode. I only had to kill the two that were near the dead brahmins.

It really is no difference except you see some ferals down there where Bright is making his speech. The space suit does have rad resist so maybe the non ferals are wearing them to avoid becoming feral.
