"It has been so much trouble to kill just one man." The young dark elf said to himself. He stood up and looked out into the distance at the imperial ship Katarinah. He repositioned his bow on his back and checked to make sure he had his daggers and poisons ready.
It was time to kill the emperor.
As the listener for the Dark Brotherhood he knew that it was his right to have such an honor but he was still amazed that he was about to change the empire with one well placed arrow. He turned to his horse Shadowmere, a gift from the previous leader of the guild, and brushed it's side. "I will have to leave you here my friend." He looked away from the horse then took a deep breath and jumped into the bitterly cold water. The cold helped him focus but his thoughts still wandered as he swam towards the ship. He thought about how quickly he had gained respect in the legendary guild of assassins. A few months earlier he had just been an unknown dark elf leaving cyrodil for a change of scenery. He had picked captured by imperial forces. He had no idea why they were taking him but he went with them quietly. They asked him his name and he told them "I am Indoril." They took him to a fort and slowly his resentment for the Empire began to grow inside him. Just before he was executed the unthinkable happened. The fort was attacked by a dragon! He managed to escape and flee to Windhelm where he was immediately thrown into "The Gray Quarter." While he was there he began to despise the Stormcloaks as well. Soon enough he had heard of a boy attempting to contact the Dark Brotherhood. Indoril had always been fascinated with the guild so he went to investigate. After killing an old woman for a small demented boy he was contacted by their leader. He was invested into the guild and quickly rose through the ranks to end up where he is now. He smiled as he neared the anchor that would lead onto the ship.
He climbed up onto the ship and found himself in a storage room. He watched as a dark elf sailor came from behind a stack of boxes. Indoril quickly ran up and slit the mans throat in silence and stashed his body in one of the barrels. He sheathed his dagger and drew his bow taking a deep breath to prepare himself. He crouched low to the ground and pulled his hood up walking slowly through the corridor. He saw multiple sailors and bodyguards asleep in there rooms but quickly put an end to the with a well placed arrow. At one point he came into a room as two bodyguards were talking at a table.
Indoril put a quick end to their conversation.
He smiled as he killed each and every man who got in his way. Eventually he found the master key to all of the ships rooms. He searched the locked room and managed to kill to Imperial Lieutenants with great satisfaction. Soon he came to a grand door covered with beautiful etchings. He knew at once that the emperor would be in this room. He notched an arrow soaked in a very powerful poison that would ensure the emperors death. He opened the door slowly took a deep breath and drew the arrow back.
"Emperor Titus Mede. Look into the eyes of your killer." And without waiting for a reply.....he sent the arrow flying...
