What do You Think the Next 'Elder Scrolls' Will be?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 1:51 pm

I'm not sure where the sixth will take place, but I would favor Black Marsh, or Elsweyr. I like the idea of seeing Argonians/Kajhiits everywhere, I like the 'monsters' races like the Orcs, Argonian, and Kajhiits, my favorite of all three is the Argonian race. I've always liked the detail of racism in some of the characters. I think racism has always been in the Elder Scrolls before. I could be wrong, but who cares? Anywho... I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter of racism in Skyrim [Elder Scrolls in general] your favorite races, provinces, and where you want the next Elder Scrolls to be! I'm sorry if you didn't like the post it's my first one so... I geuss all I can say is... well... if I made a mistake let me know!

Well I hope its longer than 4 years. Gives the devs longer time to add stuff and polish. I can wait while I play fallout 4. Hopefully they blow our minds cause its definitely gonna be on the next gen consoles.

Ohs and BTW welcome to the wonderful land of the Forums where everyone is kind and gets along >.>

I wouldn't think about TES:VI right now since Bethesda are amazing and take their time with each of their games to make sure we have enough time to enjoy their creations. But me and my friends have been discussing amongst ourselves and all have different views on the matter. I personally want it to be set in Black Marsh while one of my friend's would rather it be in Elsweyr. I wouldn't mind really, both sound like really interesting places to go to.

But I'm not finished with Skyrim just yet! There's just so much more things to do. I played Oblivion for a good 3 years until I practically did everything I could possibly think of on there.

I wouldn't be surprised if it played more like Zelda if they continue to streamline in the way they did from Oblivion to Skyrim.

It'll be an empty box (except for the Playstation version, which will just be three pieces of torn paper), which will be promoted by Beth, and defended by its worshipers, as a welcome result of the removal of all of the "redundant" and "spreadsheety" elements from past games. The fans will accuse anyone who's disappointed of not having enough imagination to enjoy the unparalleled open world the game provides and will be told to get out their paper and pencils if they want to play one of those "boring, old role-playing games." It will take 11 years and a staff of 697 to produce, and will therefore be axiomatically better than any previous game. And it will require players to sign their first-born child over to Steam before they'll even be allowed to buy the game.

I think the next 'Elder Scrolls' will be terrible, I definitely will not be preordering it unless Bethesda shows they "get it" about their Elder Scrolls series and restore signature features to Skyrim.

I have no idea but it's gonna be awhile. I'd imagine it won't appear until sometime well into the PS4 and Xbox 720 releases (or whatever they're going to call it). Three to four years minimum. But when it does come out it should be pretty amazing; but I probably won't care because I probably won't be playing video games (again).

I'm looking forward to it. It probably won't be until 4-6 years after the release of Skyrim, but TES games are always breath-taking when compared to the previous titles.

I don't think they would do Black Marsh because only Argonians can live in most of it. They could do Hammerfell, Alinor, or combine Valenwood and Elsweyr. Who knows, it might not even be on Tamriel, it might be on Akavir, a whole new continent.

Bethesda should at least put "some" areas of the "Black Marsh" into The Elder Scrolls VI somehow!

TES VI: Back to (enter province here). I would love to have a game that is set in one of the provinces seen in the earliest TES games like High Rock and Hammerfell (names correct??), etc.

I doubt it. Kotor all over again. If a TES mmo rolls out, there's really no reason to develop a singleplayer game anymore as they would be working against themselves.

You make a sad but excellent point.
