I bought morrowind for PC and also for netbook. Now I want to put in on my android phone. Is there any plans by Bethesda to do this?

My phone runs at 800Mhz, though there isn't a dedicated GPU. There would have to be some better drivers written to fully utilize the CPU. Morrowind works on my net book, so it seems possible(netbook has no dedicated GPU).

Anyone else in favor of porting morrowind over to Android or other "smart" phones?

Based on what I know, this is either extremely difficult, or impossible. Bethesda does not have plans at the moment for a mobile version of Morrowind, even though we are all praying that they will. And I do agree, someone should at least attempt this.

short answer is no, they won't

morrowind is too outdated to be viable for the new gaming preferences most people have, so they won't be putting any more money into it

Additionally, Morrowind is a Windows program while Android is a Linux distribution. The game would need to be ported to Linux with all of the DirectX features replaced by OpenGL equivalents or somebody would need to make an Android version of Wine. And let's not even get into the control problems.

My phone has a slide out keyboard, so it would control well. I will load up windows XP on my phone, if I have to. There are also windows phones.

Morrowind require directX 8 to run.....phones do not have that
