Morrowind Confessions

This is more funny than dumb/weird...earlier today I completed a quest for House Hlaalu. I wanted to save time so used my amulet of Almsivi Intervention to enter a town temple so I could reach the silt strider for fast travel. I appeared in Ald'Ruhn and all the guards yelled "You will die, fetcher!" at the exact same time and unsheathed their weapons. They ran at me..I thought. I prepared to make a run for it, until I heard the squawk...apparently a Cliff Racer decided to either follow me through the portal from Hla Oad or spawned exactly over the Temple as I appeared and descended on me. The guards hacked it to death within seconds and calmly returned to their stations, leaving me very confused.

I couldn't find the door to Tel Fyr so I levitated all around the island. Even on top of the mushrooms. Lol.

Well at least your cover should satisfy him then. :D Then again, it could be hard to do some work in secret anymore. :P Also, it should be impossible to get through the MQ since some essential characters should be dead by then.

Not necessarily. Only if you do certain optional quests or the Morag Tong questline.

"Suh-weet. I'm flyin'."

Years and years ago i thought that my newb level ~10 theif character had the skills to take out one of the Great House Vaults in Vivec. Scoped it all out and noticed that the Telvanni one had the least Ordinator protection, and highest chance of me getting a moment alone with the door ;)

Coast is clear -> Crack open the door easy enough -> Enter the room, gloating at my awesomeness -> RAWWWWWR STORM ATRONACHS! -> Om nom nom nom level ~10 theif.

Fail.

Also: "Atronach" is a stupid word. I think "Antronach" is a nicer word on the tongue :D

Same thing happened to me. I busted into the vault, swaggered on in and got messed up by the Storm Atronach. Turns out Hlauu had the easiest. Especially with the key, a certain furry feline can help you locate

One of my most weird moments was me, getting very cocky after being such a high level so I turned the diffuculty slider all the way up. Then turning the volume all the way down to talk on the phone, ( not good at multitasking haha ), and then entering a Daedric shrine for some quest and not knowing where any were coming from, I got paralyzed and then systematically slaughtered by Daedra and some worshippers. Not a pretty sight

first time I played morrowind Didn't listen about the silt strider and just went exploring in rags with a lockpick and a rusty dagger, got pretty far, encountered a bandit who demanded my money, I delcined since I was poor, then he killed me, I hadnt saved for 5 hours.....

the same thing happened to me! and i was discouraged for days. then i got over it

i remember one time i learned a "summon flame antronach" spell, and i thought i was god. so i went and attack an imperial fort... it didnt work to well...

I once went to meet some young Dunmer guy who was in hiding in Vivec, I forget what quest it was. He was in a room full of his personal guards, and I moved the trackpad to select him, but the pad interpreted it as a click, and so my character raised his daikatana above his head, and brought it crashing down on the guy's head, killing him instantly. In front of all his guards.

"YOU N'WAH!!!!"

I died in about ten seconds.

Beat Dagoth Ur in about 5 sec, wiped out Almalexia and Her Hands all at once, etc., etc. And then I went to Solstheim and was attacked by a bunch of Rieckling Raiders. "How dare YOU attack ME, you pathetic worms, I'm gonna show you who the f*** the Nerevarine is!!!"
Cast something like a 1000pt damage in 50ft. Reflect. Reload.

I found the Icarian Flight kind of terrific and really wanted to use it. Jump, splat. I thought, "Okay, let's raise your Acrobatics a bit. Now let's see..." Jump, splat. "I got it! The only way to survive is to cast a "Restore Health" just when you reach the ground!" Jump, splat. "Damn, this is super timing!" Jump, splat, jump, splat, jump, splat, jump, splat, jump, splat, jump, splat, jump, splat, jump, splat. "THIS SCROLL REALLY svckS!!!" A while later, I came across the Slowfall spell. *Sigh*

Also, first time I arrived at Balmora, I spent like entire days (in real life) in the Mage Guild, casting "Water Walking" and "Summon Ancestral Ghost" over and over again to raise my skills, only to find out thereafter that Trainers existed...

But my most brilliant moment I think is when I got this nasty bug with Sunder. I had already done the Morrowind and Tribunal main quests and was now on Solstheim, and all of a sudden I could no longer use Sunder (which was my favourite weapon at that time) as each time I would equip it, I would drop dread and the game would ask me if I wanted to load a previous save. I exited the game, ran Wrye Mash, Testool, Tespcd, Mlox and basically any utility I could think of, hunting down the nasty bug... After hours of an utterly fruitless hunt, I launched Morrowind again and saw that I was not wearing Wraithguard. Ha ha.

I made the connection pretty early on that 'Daedra = BAD!' So I started attacking them as soon as I saw them no matter the circumstance.
Then I came across Ghorak Manor in Caldera. I don′t think I need to tell what I did next :(

Even worse, I use mudcrabs as longbow target practice. Oh damn, what island was I just on?

So am I the only one with problems with shield-Blocked melee shots? No matter where the game's volume sliders were, every time I block a shot, it just rips my ears off waaaay worse than any thunder sounds ever... This also occurs when not using headphones. Basically, it's as if any slider doesn't affect the Block sound. It seems to be at maximum all the time.

If anyone remembers that Temple quest where you take a vow of silence at Vivec, Temple District, and then walk all the way across Vvardenfell without talking to anyone so you can pray at a shrine near Dagon Fel, well...

Somehow, when I arrived at the shrine, I missed the shrine stone itself, but I saw a cabin nearby. I entered it thinking that maybe the shrine was inside, but there was only a woman. So I was like, okay, maybe I have to initiate dialogue with her and then refuse to speak or something cool like that. Nope. I broke my vow of silence. My last save was back at Vivec. FFFFUUUUU--

The dumbest thing I've done, huh? Well I guess it had to be the first time I've played Morrowind a few years back. I got into a fist fight just outside of the city gate of Balmora with some Argonian. It was awesome because I was a Level 1 or 2 and the moment we began fighting it began to rain. Then a thunderstorm. It was epic. When I finally killed him I was proud that I finally killed my first enemy. That's right. A low level hobo fight with a lizard in a thunderstorm.
