Elder Scrolls Oblivion
Well I was doing the last part of the remove vampirism quest. The witch told me to wait 24 hours so I decided to sit down and wait, but she started attacking me. When I ran outside the sunlight, and the witch both hit me, and the game saved as i died. When I load the save game, I instantly die. I have tried loading the saved game and doing random things to prevent the death, but the timing is too short, and I die every time. I had the same problem on Skyrim, but luckily I had another saved slot. Damn autosave!

Is there anyway to revert to the previous autosave on the PS3? If not then maybe a patch that disables damage for a few seconds after load would fix this bug..

You should not be playing Oblivion with just the autosave, for this exact reason. I don't know for sure how it works on PS3, but on PC the autosave file overwrites itself; there is no "reverting" to an earlier save.

On the PC, although the autosave does replace the previous one, there is a (single) backup made as it does so, so you can rename the autosave.ess to something else, and autosave.bak to autosave.ess. I have no idea if the PS3 mechanism is the same, but take a look.

And get into the habit of saving when you're healthy!
