Glitchen Clothing Mesh: arm looks funny when casting

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 1:58 pm

Hey everyone,

I was playing earlier yesterday when I noticed something was wrong with my PC's arm when casting a spell in third-person view. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/607/screenshot0031a.jpg/.

For the record, I am not using any body mods and this problem does not occur when I'm in a set of armor (such as DB shrouded armor). It only happens with this upper class outfit (vanilla clothing that I enchanted) I'm wearing and - as far as I can tell - no other clothing is affected.

Any ideas what might be causing it? Or is this how the mesh normally looks? I suppose it's possible I never noticed, but I don't think that's the case.

Thanks in advance.

failed edit: stupid typo I missed in the title. Was supposed to be "Glitched" I am not German

Looks like poor bone weighting on that particular outfit. I've seen worse on the townfolk applauding when Martin leaves Bruma for the battle, which puts their arms into similarly extreme positions.

Oh. So I guess this means this is a flaw in the original model? I'm surprised no one's fixed it yet if that's the case.

It probably is fixed in the various replacers. Quite a few people don't use the Vanilla clothes at all.

Good news everyone! I fixed it. I am not entirely sure where the problem existed except that I reinstalled the UOP followed by the All Capes/Cloaks/Gloves, and Scarves mods and the glitchy arm is no longer there. I had a feeling that this wasn't a glitch that was there all along.

Thanks Ghastley for helping me narrow it down to a bone issue.
