MP3Gain on Voices files?

The majority of you who have an MP3 song collection have heard of MP3Gain/ReplayGain, which tries to balance the "loudness" of all your tracks so they all sound roughly equally loud. I ran it on my Oblivion\Music folder last week and immediately noticed an improvement.

That got me to thinking...has anyone ever tried running MP3Gain/ReplayGain on the Oblivion - Voices1, Oblivion - Voices2, and Shivering Isles - Voices BSAs? That's 48,583 MP3 files for those who are counting. I'm just curious if anyone has, and if so, if they noticed an improvement. Or, perhaps it's a bad idea to even try...after all, MP3Gain/ReplayGain assumes that all the files are supposed to be equally loud.

You could always make a backup and try it, but I don't know why it would need to be done on the original voice files. I was doing it once for a Fallout: NV mod that added voice files that were mostly too loud. It was a bit of a pain getting it to a level I was satisfied with.

Well, I'll have to keep you posted. I've dumped all of the voice files (Oblivion, SI, and the Patches) into a single BSA, and that file's less than 3 MB under the size limit. I'm having some trouble rebuilding it with BSAOpt...not sure how I managed to do it the first time.
