Would you be willing to accept a canon ending?

Would you support a canon ending to the story, though you may not see it in game due to your choices? This is all assuming there would be multiple endings.

I want there to be multiple paths in the story and multiple endings, but of course there's going to be have to be a canon ending. Especially if the ending of the game will be something major that will change things.

I wouldn't mind having multiple choices for a quest like for example being able to side with the Sirens in Anvil but I have to say no to multiple endings. This isn't Fallout as Oblivion and Morrowind didn't have multiple endings.

Daggerfall did, though.

It would definitely add to the immersion we all desperately need after Oblivion. It would be good for us if they made certain quest paths unavailable for certain races. Then we can boast of our many accounts and mass play time. :hubbahubba:

I wouldnt mind a "canon" ending for a multiple ending scenario.

Most multiple choice games like this usually have one "Line" that is "canon" like in Knights of the Old Republic.

Doesnt bother me at all.

This, though a bit less silly. Make the journey unique, not the destination. Guilds that hate each other so you can only join one, individual quests with multiple endings that affect the world (and what future quests you can take), etc.

Of course this decision has already been made and mostly implemented by now. Topic's rather moot. :)

I would love to be able to play opposite the hero type in the game for an evil finish to the main quest fallout 3 style, they rehash what you have done in the game but ultimately the ending that has to happen happens just with you being an antihero type affecting the true ending not at all so the lore/cannon of the game does not become lost or warped by your actions, it is just unique to you,.....

Lets look at it like this say you were able to join the Daedra from oblivion in helping to destroy the empire and all goes according to plan, you even kill martin septim for them and you are there at the end helping to destroy the white gold tower or the temple of the one actually and all of a sudden you are thrown to the ground and are passing out and you see a gate open up much like a oblivion gate and martin steps thru looking like you never so much as scratched him and saves the day,... fade to black ,.... you see the fight between him and the daemon lord,.... run credits, flashbacks of what you had done and how, then the ending why and how martin showed up miracle of miracles ,... so on and so forth ,.... could be done this way I suppose but that is just a thought is all dont hang me for supposing

Throw in enough Dragon Breaks and you can have as many canon endings as you'd like. ;)

I would prefer multiple paths to one ending. I most certainly do not want another warp in the west. As for "canon lines" I would be okay with that if that's how they did it but as I said. I prefer one ending.

Nah. I mean, multiple endings is great and all, but I don't want them to do another Dragon Break to retcon it. That would just seem like a lame excuse on their part.

You should add an option for 'I don't actually care'.

I found Warp in the West very 'so what?' I know what I did! I don't care what others do and wouldn't have minded a 'historically this is what happened' in the slightest. My Nerevarine is my Nerevarine. I don't care if historically she was a Bosmer or he was a Redguard. I'd be interested to know, but wouldn't feel my character in the slightest bit devalued for doing and being something different.

I want my actions to affect the methods of the outcome, but not the outcome itself. I want my lore to be set in stone, not "Some mysterious dude did a whole bunch of stuff and affected this place, but no one knows what he did or what the outcomes were" when you look at the lore in the next game.

Perhaps you can work on multiple sides of the main story, but in the end the future foretold by the elder scrolls was set in stone from the start. Despite your best efforts, you cannot alter destiny. Solid lore and choice = win/win in my books.

No, I want us to all have the same ending. It's just right for TES IMHO.
