Deathclaw shot in air?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 8:36 am

So, i was shooting a deathclaw with a gauss rifle, and then in one of the hits he flew up in the air (i couldnt see him because he was so high up) so i assumed he was dead after that, then saw Fawkes firing his gatling lazer in the air and a deathclaw health bar dropping, and the deathclaw falls right next to me dead. Has this happened to anyone else with some creatures?

Yeah that happens. There's was one time where my character was skulking around Old Olney, a Deathclaw came charging at me then suddenly launched up in the air. Never saw that one again.

Well one time I shot this blind Deathclaw somewhere east of Primm and he went flying way up in the air, over my head, and disappeared into the sunset far to the west. So I trucked it out westward because I was hungry for a Deathclaw Omelette, and I found the beast had landed on the hood of a Highwayman that musta been drived at least 100mph down the I-15, and the Deathclaw went through the windscreen and killed the driver outright. So that's how I got my omelette and a driveable Highwayman. True story ;)

If you hang out by the campsite you'll see one fly up every minute or so. I cant remember the name of the campsite though

closest to that I've was when the MMM mod geckos would suddenly shoot straight up out of view like they were standing on top of an invisible rocket, then they would just appear on the ground only to repeat the experience after a few moments

It's the physics engine. What's hilarious is when you fast travel somewhere, and dead robobrains come flying out of the sky and land next to you.

This is a problem that they seem to have fixed in Skyrim, so hopefully we won't see it in the next Fallout. They seem to have cured that glitch where dead NPCs turn into flying spaghetti, too.

I think that one is referred to as "rubberbanding" & that one is strange to see but a save-quit game & reload seems to make it stop (at least momentarily)

Actually, these problems are still there. Just doesn't happen as often.

Really? Oh well, in 200 hours of Skyrim I never saw it; I can live with once-in-200-hours glitches.

Perfect example is the giants. Often their power attack sends someone hundreds of feet vertically. When you see a sabretooth fall out of the sky and land next to you, ask yourself where the nearest giant shelter is.

The ragdoll now has a wizard of oz effect with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7x9Qw1KSyIs&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PL94021A233E7219EB

Wa shooting at an enclave soldier who was fighting a super mutant and fired some incinerators flames at them. Killed the soldier and the mutant, just standing completely still, blasted off into the air on fire near te capital building.

I lol'd because I was roleplaying a serious bod soldier.

They are Enclave's latest secret weapon, the VTOL Deathclaw Mk. II, currently in prototype stage. Entering full service by the next century.

Lol. An even bigger "FU" was when I finally finished cleaning out the Capitol Building and exited it. The Enclave's pet DeathClaw that wasn't present earlier spawned right in front of my low health paladin and [censored] slapped him.

Luckily, I had like one or two stimpacks and deathclaws are a joke in this game, so it was all good. Still gave me the freaks.
