Fallout 3 GOTY - no Operation Anchorage content

Hi.

I got Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition on Steam during one of those steam sales. To day I wanted to check out one of those expansions, and followed the signal to the outcast outpost. There, where I should walk to, I just saw a hole in the ground with a red exclamation mark. I have the game on the 1.7 patch and no mods or anything else running.

Oh, so also: when I click on the game's launcher, there is that button for "DATA FILES". When I click on that, I see a list of all the expansion, each one checked. But the "load those files" one is unchecked. I can check it, and click on "ok", but the problem still exists. And when I click on "DATA FILES" again the "load those files" checkbox is unchecked once more, as if the setting to load those files is never saved.

Anyone got any advice?

The red exclamation mark means you have a missing mesh. You should try reinstalling the game. That might clear it up. As for the check mark, each time you access the "Data Files" the load those files box will show up unchecked. You should check the box each time to access that part of the menu.

I was just going by what the OP stated. I haven't used that screen to start the game since I got FOMM about a year ago. I think that might be a typo on the part of the OP.

Ahh thanx ... Ithought I might of been loseing my marbles , err had a horrible virus :drag:

But then ... I figured out my DLC's werent working either ... even though they showed up in the selection box and my data folder ,but have geck installed so ... meh ,who knows.

Anyways I had uninstalled and reinstalled ... thought it was odd that I didnt need to reinstall the DLC's ... or so I thought.

And the "Load Those files" makes more sense than "Load Loose files"

Although I can certainly see files getting loose on this game.
