Plot Summary: 2077. Montreal Biodome, Montreal, Canada-United States. The Great War.
In the rising tensions between powerful nations, a group of scientists formed a community, along with their families, at the Montreal Biodome. Their Mission: to preserve all of the Old World knowledge they held at all costs, and in the case of a nuclear holocaust, to spark the growth of humanity once more...guiding the future according to their rules which, they thought, would lead them away from the destruction they have just survived. For whatever reason, the Prodigal Son, abandoned the confines and safety of the Biodome, wandering into the radioactive wasteland littered with murderous raiders, ghouls, mutated creatures, and other dangers. Whether he's on this voyage with a great purpose or just blindly wandering around? No one knows. All that is known is that he has become a legend amongst the survivors, friends and enemies, who had the honor of being in his presence.
No one has seen him. No one has heard of him. People say he's dead. Some say the Prodigal Son has finally returned home.
Wherever he may be, he still wanders around throughout the wasteland by word of mouth...from generation to generation.
Preface
October 23, 2077
The bombs fell.
One by one, they consumed several centuries of human history and progress in the form of nuclear firestorm.
One by one, they toppled down with ease the warring nations who were greedy and eager to get their hands on resources at all cost.
One by one, they destroyed countless lives that had and were to contribute to the advancement of humankind.
One by one,
… It all ended.
There was no noise. No echo of the destruction it caused. No voice of survivors. There was a flash…
And then, it was….dead silent…
But the flame that humanity had bore on its hand, passing down from generation to generation, still burns ever so brightly. Humanity didn’t faze, even at the power of nuclear bombs; hundreds of thousands of them.
From its nuclear ashes, civilization will rise up again. Like the fabled Phoenix, we’ll take flight once more in our usual fiery fashion.
…And once more, we’d all make the same mistakes again…Because war…
…War never changes.
