Some of us should get together and create or revive one of those New Vegas roleplays. You know, where a lot of us create our own character, rather a mercenary or foot soldier, and go about our business and set skirmishes and battles with other members and npcs. Maybe even have a courier slowly completing quests, either right by you, or while you are ten miles away farming.

Anyways, Itd be nice to see an rp like that spring up again. I could think about it, but am a little busy. I'll give it some more thought.

I've been thinking about doing one set after New Vegas.

Idea being that The Courier met all those different groups and played a game with them. They lost, some more than others.

Idea was...

Courier takes control of New Vegas, joins with BOS and NCR to rid the Western Wastelands of the Legion.

BOS and NCR continue to pursue the Legion into New Mexico to forever wipe them out and gain new lands/tech in the process.

BOS and NCR return to Vegas to celebrate with Courier, but are ejected from the gates as the Courier has claimed it for himself.


Years later BOS and NCR have returned to their respective positions of power, though remnants have settled in Freeside and South into Spring Valley.

I had a whole introductory post ready....but then Puget Sound sounded good.

IMO, I feel the courier should go for an independent side than exclusively helping the ncr and bos against the legion.
Whats the cannon outcome?

I would think the courier would interfere in ncr-legion skirmishes only sometimes.

The outcome was that the Legion is all but completely eradicated, the NCR and the BOS are no longer a presence in New Vegas as they have to return to their bases of power.

It's kind of like an Independent Vegas, except instead of the Sharing and Supportive Courier that I associate with that you have a Greedy Courier.

I imagine a New Vegas that is kind of Orwellian (think Big Brother, 1984) with Freeside being a more dangerous area gradually growing.

Spring Valley would be a small town 3 days South/SouthWest of Vegas. Kind of like The Hub from Fallout 1, a trading town far enough away from Vegas that traveling traders are less likely to be attacked by raiders.



But hell no reason not to do a world where The Courier created a more positive Independent Vegas.
