2 Proposed changes to this board

Now, you may call this Nerd rage, you may call this Grammar Nazism, but I am seriously getting irritated by the sheer amount of repeat threads; silly questions and spelling errors.

This forum is, indeed a 13+ forum, so total maturity and immaculate command of english are something of an impossible request. However, there is no excuse for stupid mistakes such as using "of" instead of "have" in the appropriate places; to name just one example.

I can picture you sitting their reading this thinking "Oh be quiet Grandad, it's only the internet, no one takes it seriously." To this I would say two things:
I am not Grandad, I am 14, around the same age as many of you.

And that the internet is and should be taken very seriously indeed, take the UK Christmas number one for example, a group from facebook stopped the X Factor winner from getting that position, breaking a trend that has gone on for 4 years, and losing both Simon Cowell and the winner himself a fair amount of money.

Now, onto my proposals:
- A basic spell checker integrated into the posting systems, this would reduce the number of errors by a sizeable amount. It could also assist some foreign
members of the forums by showing them where they're going wrong with their spellings.
- A system that would run keywords from the title of a thread and the post itself thorugh a search engine.

Now, as I said before, I don't expect everyone to has immaculate grammar, nor do I expect to get a particulary good response from this post, but I do hope that it will atleast be noted by Bethesda.

Also, this may not be the best place for this topic, but I could see no other place that was suitable.

I agree.

I'm 13 and I have been typing like this since I was 10 or 11. I still make a few mistakes now and then but I spend time to correct it. I'm starting to hate the downsizing of the English language.

Ok for one you will never eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer get rid of the repeat topics its impossible.Second there is already a spell check. No one really cares for the grammar policing around here.I know it bothers you but you must understand this forum is created of people from around the world who do not all speak and type immaculate English. As long as you get the point across and people understand what you are saying no one really minds. While I usually try to fix errors No one will catch 'em all we are not Ash Ketchum.

Anyway things like this have the possibility to get locked by the mods as while you may mean good others might be offended and flame/bash you.

Yep, there are all manner of people from all walks of life, many with English as a second language. If you don't understand what someone is saying, simply ask them politely to clarify. There is no need for a topic on this subject.
