So I just bought Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition and on my way home I read the tiny little note that the DLCs in this version are not compatible with the standard Fallout New Vegas Editions.

Seeing that the DLCs are usually (Oblivion, Fallout 3) basically official mods, will there be any problems using any of the mods from newvegasnexus and the NVSE? Did they change the exe or the esm or something?

Or might this be a problem only of the German version because it was cut before and the Ultimate Edition is uncut now?

Has anyone installed user created mods on the Ultimate Edition so far?

If I can't play with mods I won't play at all and return the game.

Ultimate edition will work fine with mods. However, make sure to check the compatibility, the DLC cause some issues with very few mods. But I got the Ultimate Edition and they're all working fine.
