hi my problem is when i play fallout new vegas everything else works fine except for the fact that when i go to press the run key it makes my character go slower and i cant figure it out please help me someone cheers

Your character runs by default. You're making them walk when you press the "run" key.

Just take a look at yourself in the 3rd person if you don't belive me. Scroll the mouse wheel back or hit the vanity cam/switch view button. (F or R, I think)

then explain this why in the controls menu does it tell you which key the run button is

FPS games at least as far back as 1997 have done this. Some let you toggle if running or walking is the default; in most cases, the ''run'' key then makes you move at the opposite of your default. So it's nomenclature from that.

In New Vegas you run by default and the ''run'' key makes you walk.
