What dlc should I get

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 12:29 pm

I can only afford 1 dlc and wanted to know whats the best. I would prefer something that I can play even after I complete the dlc, and I'd like to not lose my team mates (Arcade & ED-E

About me
Im a level 16. With high speech and gun stats.
Bad karma and independent status.

So is it
1. Dead money
2. Honest hearts
3. Old world blues
4. Lonesome road

Or should I just keep my Microsoft points for another day

Wow, that's a tough one. Go with Old World Blues. It will give you a nice player housing! And you can pick up some cool old world tech! It's also a large place and fun to explore (well yea fine, the Robo Scorpions are not fun, and they say that it's a bullet sink.) It's funny, too and the housing really makes up for using a ton of bullets.

I played through it on Easy and I didn't really use that many bullets. You will find a lot of energy cells though and an energy gun worked well for me the first time around (Tri Beam Laser Rifle, fully modded). I was also around lvl 25ish. I'm playing through it now, using the Gobi Campaign Sniper Rifle with hand loaded bullets, those work really well. :)

It makes you stronger and better (like no head cripple, 25% Chem resistance and some other cool perks),
Spoiler
plus, you are able to switch back to your original organs at the end. ;)

Get Dead Money, followed by Lonesome Road.

As for Honest Hearts, just get it later on once you get bored of New Vegas DLC. It's a pretty boring DLC itself IMHO.

Save up and get the ultimate edition, comes with all 4 DLCs, Courier's Stash, and Gun Runners Arsenal.

If you can only afford one, get Honest Hearts. The other three are somewhat connected to one another. However Old World Blues is also not a bad choice - it's the best DLC in my opinion, and the most fun. Hilarious wacky humour, good player housing, some nice loot.

OWB seems to be the one I would get if I could only choose one. It seems kinda long and the enemies aren't easy to beat. Also it provides laughs.
