Entrance to the Knights of Nine And Leveling

Post » Sat Nov 14, 2009 2:20 am

So, i found a portal to the Shivering Isles but i was wondering how/where the Knights of the Nine Portal/Entrance is. Anyone know?

I'd also like to know how i can increase my level? After seeing people reaching lv. 10+ in a few days I knew i was doing something wrong. I have been playing for two weeks now and I'm only level 7.

Thanks

EDIT: What should i use my stat points on? I'm Warrior/Fighter/Heavy Armour wear. Also I really want to know where i can get some good Heavy Armor and weapons/equipment.

Thanks once again

For KOTN, go to the church in Anvil.

To increase your character's level, use your Major Skills.

Talk to the prophet. You can't miss him if you go to Anvil. :)

Don't try to level quickly. You'll just make your enemies more dangerous, because they level with you. Slow leveling is good.

Hm, okay if you say so but! I have a quest which i can't complete because the orc i must kill is too tough. It's a main storyline quest, just so you know.

Oh and thanks for the replies both of you!

Ghola gro-Muzgol will just get tougher if you level up. He's going to level along with you. He's three levels higher than you, and his equipment is going to get better, too.

Also, I think most people on this forum would agree that you should not give Azura's Star to Martin. Go find Sheogorath's Shrine, about midway between Bravil and Leyawiin, and get the Wabbajack for Martin.

I don't know what you're using for equipment against Ghola gro-Muzgol, but you definitely need enchanted stuff. Something with Reflect Damage would be nice. Given that you're above level 5, you can do Namira's Daedric Quest, which is really quite easy, and you get a ring with Reflect enchanted on it. Also, any kind of ranged effect, like a fireball, is going to help you against the orc. Stay out of his reach as much as possible. You might see if you can get some high-damage spell scrolls to use on him, if your magic is really weak.

Have you closed some oblivion gates? The sigil stones are good for enchanting, save before grabbing it and reload until you get that you want, your character might like a absorb health effect, takes health from the enemy and heals you :) Or shock damage, very few resists it and because of a bug you can get a shock damage 20 effect before level 10.

Yes, I have 3 Sigil Stones but I'm not sure what armor I should use them on.

EDIT: Is the Knights of Nine armor good?

I dont think you can insert sigil stones in that armor set, i dont think you can insert them in any enchanted armor. And to insert them in KOTN armor set would make it to powerfull ithink. ^^
Maby nothing can get to powerfull but yu do want a challenge in the game. :)

Each sigil stone has two possible spell effects in it. One is for a weapon, and the other is for armor or clothing. Obviously, you only get to choose one or the other.

If you're at low level, and you're enchanting something to wear, you're better off putting the enchantment on something other than armor, like an amulet or ring, or a piece of regular clothing, because those things don't have to be repaired. This is because, until your Armorer skill reaches 50, you can't repair enchanted items yourself.

On your second question, yes, the KOTN armor is nice. Each piece gives you a different special enchantment, and the entire set will level with you, so you don't outgrow it.

And, no, you can't add an enchantment to something that's already enchanted.

Re-read post number 5, the middle paragraph. Find Shoegorath's Shrine.

Quest walkthrough:
Spoiler
Take along a lesser soul gem, a lettuce, and a yarn. Activate the shrine.
Go where you're directed. Talk to the shaman. Talk to the innkeeper.
Pickpocket the innkeeper's key when she's asleep. Steal the cheese.
Put the cheese in the pot outside the inn. Wait. Talk to the shaman.
Take the rat poison and put it in the sheep feeding trough. Wait for the big finish.
Go back to the shrine and get your artifact.

I can't find the Shrine. If you want to, could you post a screenshot of it? The map with a ''x'' on the spot of the shrine should be fine.

It's between Leyawinn and Bravil. If you find a village named Borderwatch, it's just north of it.

If he/she wants to give away the Azura star let him/her do it, its not that big of deal. I have sold it with every character ive played and I managed to get along just fine. Shure its valuable but you can play the game without it.

Go south from Bravil towards Leyawiin. At a bit more than the halfway point, you'll see a bridge across the water to your left, and a Wayshrine of Stendarr to your right. Walk west from the wayshrine, and you should see the daedric shrine symbol appear on your compass; it's up on a hill.
