I like "Cyrodiil" the best, suggested earlier.

Also not my idea: Alessia City

How do u say "The Imperial City" in Daedric? I realize daedric might seem weird for the imerials to use, but its an eternal language, probably existing before creation.
Daedric is just a font. Ehlnofex, on the other hand...

Daedric is just a font.
No. Its representation is "just" a font. Game simplification needed to represent the unknown language. Daedric is a fully functional language.

Isn't the city also called Cyrodiil?

No. It's named The Imperial City.

I think it's been referred to as Cyrodiil or Cyrodiil City. After all, they can't have called it the Imperial City before there was an Empire.

There was always an Empire in the city. First the Ayleids, then the humans.

Odds are a city that's lasted so long would have dozens of names, depending on who you're asking. The treatment of both the "Imperials" and the "Imperial City" in in-game lore leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately. Do we know the Ayleid word for "city"? Seems reasonable that that's what Alessia and the slaves would have called it.

Daedric is a fully functional language.

A language we do not know. As far as I can tell, we have no examples of this language, just its alphabet. Therefore we cannot look up words to find out what a Daedric name for the Imperial City might be.

Ehlnofex, as mentioned earlier, on the other hand, does indeed have examples we could pull from. Perhaps also Ayleid? Maybe even Draconic...

Al-Eshium

Perrifipolis

Varlathenos

Nirnaxis
I like those. Here's some of my ideas:

AE AE: "What is this city - home of Elves and Men, highest beauty and lowest depravity, greatest glory and hidden shame?" "It is what it is"

Samsara: a bit of an obvious real world reference, but I feel that it really fits.

White-Gold-Red-Brown: A reference to the tower (duh), the blood that has been spilled within the city, and the destitution that surrounds it.

Nou Adonai Kynd: Ayleid for "Our Lordly Child." I just like the idea of the Ayleids thinking of the city this way.

I think that after five pages, or when this dies down (whichever happens first) it might be a good idea to start a new topic with a poll.

Render it as Aeae and I think we have a serious contender for St. Talosberg.

Vajracchedika-ville, perhaps?

"Tiberon" has the best sound to it imo, but then the question arises wether you'd change the name for each emperor. If I was emperor and my capitol was named after the last emperor, I'd change it for sure.

How about something referring to its neighbour Lake Rumare? Rumareon, Rumada, Rumaella, or perhaps just Rumar? Just brainstorming here..
