Corprus is a disease because a mortal body, mind and soul cannot directly bear the unleashed pure power from the Heart of Lorkhan. It is like, that if you inject too much magic power at once into a magic balloon, then the balloon will explode, and what is left is the diseased forms of a mortal, one of which has the name Corprus. It is linked to Dagoth Ur only because Dagoth Ur used the Heart of Lorkhan and channeled its power into the Corprus form.
That is to say, the more a mortal body, mind or soul approaches an immortal one, the less the negative effect a Corprus will occur or appear onto the person.
The Nerevarine is born a persumed god, so the cure from Fyr "cured" his disease, or more precisely to say, harmonied the power of the Heart of Lorkhan to the soul of the Nerevarine, and the result went good. This "cure" has no effect on other Corprus patients only because they are not born god, too much mortality with them. Yet we cannot say the Nerevarine is born immortal.
In the case of the Dragonborn, it will follow the Nerevarine path I persume. He is born differently, so the Corprus, if still exist, will affect him differently from normal mortals.
