I bought a copy of Arena a few months back. It included the receipt. On the receipt it is statet that the game was bought on august 24 93. However, according to both wiki's (UESP and wikipedia), the game was released in (march) 94. I was wondering if this is right and the receipt is from another game in fact (it only states 'spiel', meaning 'game' in English).
It is from Germany, so maybe the release there was earlier?

Arena was indeed released in March 1994, though it was originally scheduled for a 1993 release but got pushed back... no exceptions. I'm not really sure what's going on, in this case.

That's odd, Arena wasn't even released in March 1994 in Germany, but in May 1994. If the receipt wasn't for another game, maybe it was a pre-order?

This thread made me curious, so I went rummaging in the folder where I stuff software receipts: I bought Arena March 19, 1994.

Looking at other games and other software receipts from way back then brought back some memories.

I still have my Daggerfall receipt in my Daggerfall box, but that's a rare exception rather than a rule.
