Skyrim should have an anime

Game of Thrones with essential NPCs. I think TES hasn't got enough important characters to kill lige SoIaF.
Problem is, Game of Thrones is waaaay more realistic than TES, even LotR had only one guy in the main cast who was a wizard. It would be extremely difficult to keep the "realistic" touch of TES with that much magic that's gping on in the series. I fear this would turn into something like that one D&D movie with the purple lipstick guy.
Then we'd get a Video Game Movie Basher show after such a TES movie was made. Now if there wasn't use of CGI, it would be good just for that. Maybe that's my distaste of most CGI coming out, but it isn't as fun to look at. Unless it involves adorable robots named Wall-E.
Maybe Pixar could do something with this whole idea. There's fans of the series there, so it might work out. It'd be a flop profit wise, but it'd work out somewhat.

Pixar? I personally would dislike it very much. I just hate those animated kids movies. Maybe it's because I never grew up with them, I think Toys Story was the only one I knew back then and I hated it.

I grew up more on traditional Disney and tons of anime, so Pixar is sort of a different thing for me. I've seen their movies, but never gave much thought until I saw Wall-E. Pixar also has at least one employee who likes the TES games. The show now hosted on Penny Arcade's site called Extra Credits has someone who works for Pixar and enjoys Skyrim.

I remember Extra Credits back on the Escapist, it's Allison you mean I think.
It's just that those Pixar movies have a different audience tham TES and I always fear something like the FF "movies" vould happen to TES if someone suggests the whole CGI stuff.

Maybe not Skyrim per se. But I feel like The infernal city, a dance in fire, The Real Barenziah, and/or just the Elder Scrolls universe in general would translate really well into the medium.

never say such horrible things again please

keep your anime in asia and stay away from our scrolls

No anime, I think TES should remain a game, nothing more.

Dagoth Ur tries to take over Tamriel with Gundam Akulakhan, only to battle Talos, politing a missle loaded Gundam Numidium. Yes please; just beam it straight into my brain.

I'm ashamed that I appear to the first person to make a giant mech observation in this thread.

even tho i hate anime i would probably still have to watch just like i kept watching legend of the seeker and that show pissed me off to no end cause they compleatly ruined the books story. buy changing a lot of what actually happens in the first part of the book. i mean they took what is like maybe a good 20 or so chaptes and made it into 2 hours first episode and stuff like richards dad still being alive at the begining of the show when at the begining of the book he is in the woods and talking about how his dad was murderd before the book even starts.

but even with all that i still watch just about every single episode there is except for about the last 3 or 4 i think just cause it was based on one of imo the best books ever made

The Dunmer, Altmer, Argonians, Khajiit, Bosmer and Orsimer would all look like crap then. Cheap makeup techniques and animations. They would never have the budget of something like Avatar(not airbender version). TES made with real life actors would only look good IF they had a budget to spend on it. Anime can be cheap but even good anime can be done for a fairly low cost in relation to things like Avatar. Anime can be many things. It does not have to look like http://images.wikia.com/devilmaycry/images/b/bb/Dante_Anime.jpg or http://www.animeph.com/wallpaper-hellsing-ultimate-anime.jpg or even http://emorawr.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/2878123.jpg?

i'm not so sure about that i mean look at the transformers movies i never thought that they would be able to pull one off with them looking realistic and hey they turned out to be imo the best movies ever made more so cause transformers was my [censored] back in the day i had all the toys and watched every episode of every season they had i still watch the cartoons from time to time even tho they have progressivly gotten worse. oh and speaking of animie looking like crap and making some thing that was good and turning it into [censored]

just look at all the original transformers cartoons with the western style animation and then they made a season of it in jap anime and it was one of the worst transformers cartoons i've ever seen i watvhed it for like 5 mins and never watched it again

I think it's funny how this thread keeps rising back from the grave. There are never enough users reading it at one time to keep it really flaming, but the idea is so controversial that at least one person discovers it buried in this forum and feels compelled to post in it, every day, bumping it up yet again to the top of the forum so that the cycle may never end. Like a throbbing coal in the stove that's just waiting to die...

Sorry.

Yes, then all the nerds that are obsessed with meme's with go crazy, Broneys will like two things, and SOPA might actually make a re-apperence. Although the Wolf Queen would be cool. I'm against this idea.

with the right art style and story director, i think it could do pretty well. ES lore is very rich and has many interpretations from which to draw from. would love to see an offshoot based on "The Real Barenziah"

I gotta say I'd prolly be overjoyed if someone comes up with getting Escaflowne into Skyrim as an enemy, possibly a dwemer construct...
Just sayin'
