What Race Will you Play

Post » Sat Nov 14, 2009 4:10 am

Orsimer on all accounts. I love them as a race, they've always produced characters with the longest playtimes for me. They seem to be highly underappreciated as a race by most of the community (both ingame and on the forums). I've always preferred learning about the societies no-one else seems interested in though.

not to bash other races, but THIS IS SKYRIM!! *kicks a wood elf down a well*

we should always see more of the race that currently inhabits the region

I usually play as a Breton but in this game I'm going full blown Nord.

Fur armor, big spears(heres hoping), and ice spells, OH MY!

For part 1, I chose Orc. I think the proximity of Skyrim to Orsinium, plus the similarities between the two races as big burly fighters, could create some interesting dynamics.

Part 2 I chose Argonian. I often tend towards a thief-type character, and that plays well into it. And I just plain enjoy not having to carry around Water Breathing potions. This depends, of course, on whether the races get overhauled for Skyrim, as I suspect they'll get at least some tweakage.

Part 3 is also Argonian. I also frequently play as Bosmer and Breton.

It really depends how they change the races. I'll probably go Nord again cause I can't stand looking up at people when we talk, plus it'll be more fitting this time and I have my fingers crossed for beards.

Going Nord for sure on my first character. In Oblivion my first was a Wood Elf. I don't remember what my first was in Morrowind.

Khajitt might handle the cold well because of their fur. I think that might be an interesting race to play. I'm tempted to play from the perspective of a native Nord, however, as I've never played one in any Elder Scrolls game to date.

I actually like the Orcs from Oblviion personality wise.... rough around the edges, a bit sarcastic, hearty and full of life. I thought they were much more appealing then many of the other races. Although.... I have been playing Orcs since World of Warcraft came out, but I do not play that game anymore.

My racial prejudice favors the order:

1. Orcs
2. Khajiit
3. Argonians
4. rest

I usually play as a Dark Elf, although for this game I might try being a Nord.

I go for my argonians cold blooded bloodline. My argonians are VERY racist. A good rpg needs racism, thats why I favor Argonians and Dunmer, the biggest rivals in Tamriel.

Obviosuly I will expect to see mainly nords in skyrim, considering the location. Personally I always create my first character as a Dunmer assassin *shrug*

I've always started out as a Nord, living quite far North its a better RP experience for me.
