Morrowind Saved ESPS

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:08 pm

Would anyone know any particular reason why i can't locate my EPS files i have saved through the construction set? Using Windows VISTA 32bit

I checked the data files folder and my file isnt there. but i can open it from the construction set and load it from the mod list, but it doesnt show up in the folder. I even saved a copy to the desktop and still can't see it. Any ideas?

I remember hearing something about vista saving esps in the Mydocuments folder, but I could be wrong. Check around there, and if you still can't find it, do a search on the whole C: drive.

Try clicking "Compatibility files" in Morrowind folder. Or, go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Virtual Store\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind etc
Or, better, reinstall the game otuside Program Files folder, that will help with mods in the future.

Just Vista not liking when anything messes in the Program Files folder. Because of that, it is often recommended to install older games (pre-Vista) outside that particualr folder (and the "(x86)" folder on 64 bit systems too)

Vista and up uses a thing called "User Access Control" or something like that. It should stop doing that if you turn it off.

However, I would read up on what it does before you turn it off. Just so you know exactly what it does.
