Similar system to mine run the game well?

I posted about this like over a month ago... but I was wondering if there was some "magic" fix anyone with a similar system as mine has used to get the game working fine?

I get frame rate drops into the high teens in some places in the game... If I turn off my crossfire, I'll gain fps in those areas, but lose it in others. I've also tried the 4gb patch, the unofficial patch, optimized meshes, ini tweaks, running the game in low settings fixes everything... but I really don't want to run it that way. It's not fair... So anyone out there with a similar system that has the game run at 60fps everywhere?

My specs:
i7 2600k @ 4.9Ghz
8gb G. Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600Mhz
OCZ Vertex 3 SSD
2x HD6870s 1gb
Corsair TX V2 850W PSU
Win7 Ultimate

I don't think anybody runs Oblivion at 60fps everywhere, with high graphic settings. The game is poorly optimized. You're on the right track to shut off one of those GPUs, because Oblivion doesn't like that kind of setup. The reason that you're seeing the frame rate drop in other places is probably a CPU thing, if it's happening in areas where there's a lot of AI activity. The game is probably basically running on one of your CPU cores.

Shut off Self Shadows, if you have it on. It's bugged. Try eliminating or turning down other shadow settings, one at a time, and see if it helps.

Object/item fade is the only thing that helps in performance... If I am in anvil near the well by the church... I go straight down to 28fps. I have 4.9ghz on a single core regardless... so it shouldn't have any issues. Is there anything else I might be missing in trying? To get it running better?
