Just got FO3

Fallout 3 doesn't have the following:

Traits
Damage Threshold
Iron Sites
hardcoe Mode
Multiple Endings
Reputation System
Companion Quests
Faction disguises

The game is pretty much Good vs Evil and you will be forced to join the BoS and kill the Enclave. The game is based on karma and you will be attacked just for being good or just for being bad. The writing is just bad. It isn't as "mature/advlt" as New Vegas.
ON CONSOLES, all of the above is possible on pc with mods, because you didnt state what platform your on op i thought i'd just mention it.

I disagree, Fallout 3's wasteland was dull, ugly and poorly designed to the point of taking me out of the game, that and it felt really friggen tiny. And I don't see how you can keep finding new things, I was able to explore the whole map pretty quickly and nothing is new to me anymore, maybe you just forget things and rediscover them.

And DC was a joke, the only way to get around is the metro's and fast travel, and most of the buildings are closed off, that and for the most bombed place in the USA it fared extremely well, it barely looks touched by the war.

I thought New Vegas's world was far far better in terms of design, because it looks and acts like its been a long time since the war, and not a couple years like Fallout 3. And I love deserts, so that probably has something to do with it.

I liked fallout 3's world better and so do many other's ,Its my opinion..You cannot disagree to that fact..why can you not disagree.. once again " ITS MY OPINION "
This aint a new vegas thread so stop the propaganda..

to the OP...play the game and realize the game strengths and weaknesses on you own . you might like it...

Jesus people, stating your opinion is one thing , enforcing your opinions on others is totally stupid. This is nothing but pure flame bait.

I didn't say your opinion was wrong, I just disagree with it, you can disagree with opinions.

In MY opinion Fallout 3's world was poorly designed and didn't fit in with the rest of the series.

And how was that propaganda? are you just saying random things hoping they will hold water?

Somehow this can be interpreted as a positive comment yeah whatever.

Edit... For some weird reason I missed a whole bunch of replies.... so a few edits.. (and sorry)

Your argument for the enclave.... is based on your disposition. There is nothing wrong with that... and based on the lore.. I can feel for the argument that they are not evil.
I think that the counter argument that is being made, and which you actually seem to agree with... is that Bethesda is portraying them as evil..

This and the way the story.., goals are explained etc.. is a lot more extensively described in NV... with more variables so one can shape the outcome...
Debate all you want .... that is an undeniable fact..
However both games, as I argued in a different thread, are inherently different.. Both are FPS/RPG hybrids.... but with different aims.. FO3 is aimed more at exploration....and free form..
With both mechanics and story written to support it...
NV is more (including modes) aimed at old school RPG adventures... and even co-authored by people who worked on the originals... Because it is more about connection with the originals as well as being a more traditional RPG... the story can be more complex.. (which it is)

From a dramatic standpoint... Bethesda has employed several techniques to portray the enclave as evil... and as nazi's
They are in other words portrayed as nazi's in power armor... replace arian race with pure human and voila... You can very well not like the comparison... but their whole demeanor and goals are utterly Fascist.. (for example: Why do we only see military Enclave.. why are there no settlements...etc..)
For the record: I am not saying: This is the enclave...., I am saying this is how....... they are portrayed.
Spoiler

(the huge amount of karma gain for bombing the enclave or loss for bombing the BOS in broken steel is just one of the examples) of how Bethesda are portraying the enclave as evil...

Looks like a few people let the flame nukes drop & cause another holocaust again..

On topic.

It is best to just go out & see it for your self. Both games have many pros, & many cons compared to one another. But the one thing that changes that is your opinion. So here is a subscription of exploration.. Sign here.

Ive pretty much beat the game, lvl 28 or something, and altogether i liked NV more just because dialouge and story seemed abit better written, but FO3 has alot of good qualities too, going total overkill with T-51b armor and a tesla cannon never gets old.

Enclave = not evil? Interestin'. Interestin' indeeds. I guess I could buy that as long as U buy that us Slavers ain't evil too. We get a bad rep, when we save wastelandas lives evramuthaluvin day yo.

Not gonna say 3 is betta then NV, but........ Paradise Falls is da best location in eitha game.
