" The game is pretty much Good vs Evil and you will be forced to join the BoS and kill the Enclave. The game is based on karma and you will be attacked just for being good or just for being bad. The writing is just bad. It isn't as "mature/advlt" as New Vegas. "
Somehow this can be interpreted as a positive comment yeah whatever.
Edit... For some weird reason I missed a whole bunch of replies.... so a few edits.. (and sorry)
Your argument for the enclave.... is based on your disposition. There is nothing wrong with that... and based on the lore.. I can feel for the argument that they are not evil.
I think that the counter argument that is being made, and which you actually seem to agree with... is that Bethesda is portraying them as evil..
This and the way the story.., goals are explained etc.. is a lot more extensively described in NV... with more variables so one can shape the outcome...
Debate all you want .... that is an undeniable fact..
However both games, as I argued in a different thread, are inherently different.. Both are FPS/RPG hybrids.... but with different aims.. FO3 is aimed more at exploration....and free form..
With both mechanics and story written to support it...
NV is more (including modes) aimed at old school RPG adventures... and even co-authored by people who worked on the originals... Because it is more about connection with the originals as well as being a more traditional RPG... the story can be more complex.. (which it is)
From a dramatic standpoint... Bethesda has employed several techniques to portray the enclave as evil... and as nazi's
They are in other words portrayed as nazi's in power armor... replace arian race with pure human and voila... You can very well not like the comparison... but their whole demeanor and goals are utterly Fascist.. (for example: Why do we only see military Enclave.. why are there no settlements...etc..)
For the record: I am not saying: This is the enclave...., I am saying this is how....... they are portrayed.
Spoiler
(the huge amount of karma gain for bombing the enclave or loss for bombing the BOS in broken steel is just one of the examples) of how Bethesda are portraying the enclave as evil...
