I have Fallout 3 GOTY edition. I just tried to install the latest patch, 1.7 and it wont work. It finishes and then comes up with an error that says.
"The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll."
I really have no idea what that means plz help.

I am running windows 7 home edition.

My computer specs are....
Memory: 6.00 GB
Processor AMD A8-3520M APU with Radeon? HD Graphics
Hard Drive Space: 570 GB
Free Hard Drive Space: 494
Manufacture: HP

I'm not a genius at this stuff, so I'm sorry If you didn't get enough info or anything. I could rlly use some help.

Your graphics chip is not able to run the game properly.

I am going out on a limb and assume you didn't like the answers you got the first time you asked this.

Well i guess ya, no body was responding anymore and I rlly did need some help lol. I also started a new one because i needed to update my old one and the forums wouldnt let me. But anyway thx let me try that link.

F3 GOTY comes already patched to 1.7

Well apparently not for me because im not getting any of the features.

Btw your link worked thx, but I still cant update to 1.7 without it doing the same thing.

The xlive.dll file is an issue with Microsoft Games for Windows LIve.

Unfortunatley the boxed GOTY edition requires it , due to that dynamic link library it is talking about.

But the good news is you never have to actually use it.

Just install it and DO NOT UPDATE TO 1.7

This is a single player game , and you dont even need to be plugged into the internet to play it.

Hence, the update is no where near the importance of a mmorpg.

Besides if it aint broke ... dont fix it.
