DLC not working - help! I bought a new laptop to play this!

So I bought Fallout 3 which didn't work at all - since then I realised how weak my computer was - now playing with all recommended specs and the game is working perfectly. Im using windows 7 and it crashed a few times but, thanks to advice on this forum, I changed my settings so it only used 2 cores.

Im level 13 now and assumed that the DLC would become apparent in time - I realise now that I should have got a radio message/alert early on (Operation Anchorage). I checked my Program files>Data and all the add-ons seem to be there - lots of esm and bsa files - whatever they are. I tried downloading my second disc again - which installed almost immediately, I assume because the content had already been downloaded. Afterwards I got a message saying "The content may not have downloaded properly. Do you want to install again based on recommended settings?" I clicked yes and immediately got a message saying that installation was complete.

Tried loading a saved game and waited for several minutes - nothing happened. Although the files are there, none of the DLC seems to be operating. I even tried running the game in windows xp compatability mode (although I have no problem with the main game) - this didn't help.

I'm so disappointed. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Rakesh
