What kind of Plasma?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 5:05 pm

As for the question, I hope the keep plasma slow moving, packing a punch. Recipe for success: get enemies' attention > duck behind a corner > wait until they run around it > VATS > headshot.
or just aim better

My question is, a) why would plasma be as slow as it was, and B) if it's that slow how does it keep it's trajectory for the entire length of the shot

I don't care for balancing out how a weapon works just because you need to for gameplay, if you are going to balance do it by making it harder to obtain or less cost and time effective to fire or some other variable outside of the guns actual abilities. I want guns to perform how we would expect them to, not be balanced out for the sake of gameplay.

That's what the Guass Rifle is for. But if I'm feeling lazy and a high level, I'll just run around gooifying #$%^ without VATS.

Eh, depends. Anyone can shoot in front of the path of a moving target and hit it.

Now if it was a fast moving target this would be a different story entirely and would fall under skill. :P

^^ yes of course, but in NV i found leading targets to be annoying, why not use a gun that you don't have to lead with? it makes plasma obsolete, and i can use a gun that has gust as much damage as the standard Plasma Rifle

Its similar to bow i guess and its not much different. Its almost like the matrix with the plasmas everything is slowed down but tourself. Sry for any confusion.

OT:Multiple kinds of plasma that do different effects maybe?

I want to see a unique multiplus rifle which there is evidence of in fallout NV with some incomplete data. Also although irrelivant i want to see more gauss weapons.

Yeah, but at times you don't even need to lead the target with Plasma. :P Just like there are times where leading the target is the best option available with other weapons. It's highly dependent on the situation.
