I just purchased Fallout 3 and installed, as soon as I installed, it updated with patch 1.7. I put in my cd code and tried to play the game and it just stopped.

I am running

AMD Athlon II X2 250u at 1.60 GHz
6 GB RAM
64 bit operating system
1 TB HDD

Keep getting the message that Fallout has stopped working. At one point I got the message to put in the original disk. This is a game I bought at WalMart.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried reinstalling?
