Maybe they will be launching neclear war on each other, like the West coast v East coast, since in DC there is that factor full to the brim with nukes that aren't dentonated

If the courier didn't exist? Well the NCR would lose in Nevada, but continue fighting in Baja probably taking that region. The Legion would collapse under Legate's leadership creating dozens of feudal states run by different centurions. California would slowly internally collapse with resource depletion plus currency devaluation but only after about 10 years of continued fighting with the BoS, losing troopers in Baja, and losing Rangers attacking the Legion/feudal states of the east. Hanlon says the NCR is out of water, OSI head says they're running out of food, and without the Hoover Dam (which the Legion will mismanage and destroy if they try to take it back) they don't have any of the basics needed for industrialization or even a continuation of their society. A few cities in the NCR will go on like the Shi and Vault City but the republic is bound to fall as a unit if they don't win in New Vegas.

So basically California, Oregon, Baja Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah will descend to tribalism, feudal city states and anarchy. As far as the east coast is concerned the BoS will probably create some sort of empire, but given the fact they still can't manufacture suits of power armor, the outcast still exist, and there are still many threats in the wasteland it will be a hard struggle. Who knows about the Commonwealth or rest of the United States. I havn't played tactics so the Midwest is an unknown to me.

Tunnelers do have weakness but I doubt any large force will go into the Divide any time soon to deal with them. By then they could spread out into the Mojave. Could cause alot of trouble, before an organized force deals with them and by then it will be to late. The best the people could to is manage them. A most nasty version of molerats I guess.

This depends on who wins the battle of hoover dam. If canon victory is NCR or House, the NCR will no doubt clear the Divide as to re-establish their supply line. The NCR would not want a potential deadly threat existing which could threaten their logistical support.

If the Indy ending was Canon, I would imagine the courier would send people to take care of it.

If the Legion is canon, I would imagine they would do what they could to contain the threat and try to use it to their advantage against the NCR.

But does NCR know of the Tunneler threat?

I guess the Courier would tell them, but would they listen? It could take them along time to go into the Divide to re-establish their supply line there. Same goes for the other main factions.

We also don't know how many tunnelers there are, in the divide. Ulysses said they were there for along time doing their own thing, not knowing of the world above, until the ground opened up when the Divide was created.

It would be interesting to see how it plays out in future games, if we are lucky to get a future game in the west.

Well if they didn't they would know soon enough. Re-establishing supply line is major important. Seeing how that supposed to be the best route, they would find out sooner than later, if for some reason the courier didn't tell them.

But I also wouldn't be surprised if there was some wacky scientist who wanted to experiment on them and use them for some crazy scheme, as that is the FO way. Prolly someone from OSI. Hopefully I didn't slay that name, been awhile. I should prolly load up fo.

True enough. I can't see the Tunnelers overrunning everyone in the Mojave and spreading thought the wasteland. But It would be interesting for them to make it out of the divide and become a boogie man type creature. Like "don't go out alone at night or the Tunnelers will get you."

They could be smart enough to know not to kill everything, or else they would run out of food.

Well I definitely hope to see them again. If a game takes place in the west, or some scientist brings them eastward.

Various nameless countries that sprang up around those areas and were able to hold themselves tgetherer. Or factions that split maybe, the dark red and orange are actually splinter factions of the legion based on one of sebor's ideas, that is why they are so awkwardly placed.

Lots of possibilities.

You're welcome, most people get welcomed like that... I didn't :sadvaultboy:

Same here, though I do recall someone saying "Muggy! *Throws Mug*".

On topic. Groups would form, grow & do what all groups do. Kill one another. A nation is formed, another after that. Anti-Matter bomb is produced, Anti-Matter bombs in missiles are fired all over the world. But this time, there is nothing left over.

It'll be a neo-cyberpunk-robotic-utopia! under the rule of the combined processing power of The Calculator/Warrior, Big MT and Yes Man! of course.

Humans, robots, deathclaws and mutants alike would together in harmony to bring peace to the wasteland, burying in old hatreds
in the hope for a new future. The NCR would fall into an economy crisis, due to it's expansionistic ideals. The Brahmin Barons
would wage war upon each other in petty grabs for power. The Legion would live in civil unrest, due to several Warlords vying for
power whilst their slaves uprise against them- so poor Caesar's dream would not be realised anytime soon. Lyon's Brotherhood
of Steel would lay claim to the nation's capital, beginning the foundations for democracy and justice for the individual, over the power.
And Harald, our friendly neighbourhood mutant, would bring about a religion from his life-bringing gifts, called The Church of Harald.

With all this in mind.. I leave you with a future message: "Be welcome in the United Processors of Robanukah and do enjoy your stay now!" :vaultboy:

Depends. I think under Caesar, at least the west would be a tightly held dictatorship. With NCR, I think it will fall at some point. With House of independent, it could be either. If NCR fell and Caesar's Legion was still around in decent force, I'd imagine a 3rd attempt at invasion. As for the rest of the country, we don't know enough about the current doings of the Midwest BOS and I doubt the East Coast BOS would be able to govern a nation. Then there's the existence of tribes everywhere, I'd say a lot of the country would remain city-states.

Hopefully the NCR would overtake the Legion across the Western US, and bring order about that region. Then the BoS would reclaim the East Coast, and explorations into central US, Canada and Mexico could take place. It'd be a whole lot safer and a world I'd wanna live in, so long as me and my fellow Kings get Freeside to ourselves

I suspect even with the NCR bound to a relatively small portion of the U.S. for the benefit of the franchise a canon win to either the Legion/House/Some mix will be handed.

Of coarse FO4 not need address it either and we could not get an answer for half a decade on.

It really depends on how long the franchise can keep from going post-post-apoc as NV or even more normal. It can be evaded through other areas of the U.S., seeing Canada, and other countries in the world(Going past BGS's statements obviously real FO devs would take the 40/50s mindsets of respective nations and fuse them).

But it is inevitable. Or maybe not. I doubt FO will be made long enough so. BGS's retake has made FO have hundreds of hours more exploration/content than the originals.

Downside? Less focused scope. Dev times are long.

Honestly, I didn't feel like making just some slivers of possible factions. If I had all of N. America I may have done it.
