Very Strange Graphics Issue

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 2:24 am

Hey there, so new install of New Vegas with all add-ons, and once I'm past the intro, into the game itself (giving name, six, face, etc...), there are literally two of everything in the game and each one has a heavy shade of red or green. It's almost like old-school 3d, but not. Anyone have any clue about this? I've been trying to search for an answer but even coming up with the right search terms has been difficult.

Thanks for any help you can throw my way!

Screen shots would help. Use the print screen button on keyboard, paste in paint and save it. You can upload them to image shack and put the link in the text here.

You have addons, are they official dlc or third party mods? If they are third party (nexus mods), what are you using?

Have you verified your game cache also?

Screenshot link below. Yes, I verified the cache. It's fine.

I have all the official DLC and one nexus add-on: Perk every level. That's it.

Check your stereoscopic (i think thats right) 3d settings. Disable it for fallout new vegas in nvidia control panel.
If you dont have 3d gear just uninstall the 3d software.

That worked. I'm dumb. I thought it was 3d, but I thought stereoscopic 3d didn't work like that as in other games where I've used my 3d gear the picture isn't split into red/green.

Anyways, thanks for tip. I'm a bit embarrassed I didn't already try it.

Your welcome. I think that's how it's supposed to work unless im mistaken. I dunno never tried it. Not sure how well fallout 3 new vegas works with the 3d settings. Ive seen some
youtube videos that show exactly what your screen shot shows. I was wondering how the hell they can play like that then realized its the nvidia 3d thingy.
