Is there any way to eliminate or at least reduce frequncy of crashes when activating doors that load new areas? I'm running the latest version on steam and all my drivers are up to date.

A full disk cleanup and HD defgrag helped me reduce crashes, doors included, I was getting alot of those door CTDs.

Never resume a game from a quick/auto save, always resume from a full save. Auto/quick saves can introduce corruption into your savegame.

I also got in the habit of standing still when activating doors, seems to help a bit too.
