Veronica Santangelo

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:56 am

While wandering the wasteland I came across 188 Trading Post and as usual, I pvssyd with everyone there, including Veronica. This was a long time ago, when I was still a green courier, looking for Benny! LOL

Now, I might have said something along the line that BoS are bad people and now Veronica stopped talking to me. I'm "liked" by the BoS, I'm still doing quests for them, haven't completed that quest line yet and I just finished "Dead Money" and picked up the holotape addressed to Veronica, but she has NO dialogue options for me.

All she says is "couldn't get enough of talking to me the first time, huh?" and then I can say "Goodbye" and that's it. I was hoping that the holotape would open new dialogue options.

I read in the wiki that if you talk bad about the BoS, she won't follow you. So, that's it? What if I had no idea she was a companion (or could be).

Hmm, can I reset her dialogue? I searched the wiki but didn't see anything to that effect.

Thanks all!

EDIT: ARGH sorry, just realized that I posted in the wrong section! (was still thinking about Dead Money, I guess lol)

You lose all dialogue with her as soon as you insult the Brotherhood of Steel.

You're either going to have to reload (if you have a save that far back) or restart the game if you want to even be able to talk to her.

Thanks Sebor! Oh well, guess I'll talk to her in my next play through. I'm lvl 41 right now and I talked to her around lvl 12 or so lol, so yea, no way I go back that far. I thought there might be a console command to reset her or something lol.

Gingy: LOL Hell, I don't want to marry her, not wired that way! hahahaha =p

Wait are you on PC?

If so then ignore my earlier statement and poke around for some way to reset her dialogue.

I'm not a PC gamer (I want to transition to it though) so I don't know any of the technical stuff unless it's installing a Minecraft mod.

If you are a PC gamer you might be able to kill her and revive her through console commands

You may be able to open the GECK and take out the dialogue condition that prevents you from talking to her then save the changes in a new esp file.

Also, you can look for the dialogue option for bad mouthing the BOS and look at the script that sets the flag for her not to talk to you. Then you could add that undoing of the flag command ( using a 0 instead of a 1) to one of the greetings she uses and press compile script right next to the script box for a temporary use esp.

I'm a player, not a creator! :D Never messed with the GECK, I leave that up to Vault Tec people haha

Thanks all for your input! Yea, I'm on PC... BUT I started a new toon yesterday and now I know what to watch out for, when I talk to Veronica! :)

I recall in F2 a perk that would color code dialogue options to know the best ones for getting desired results. It's interesting this game has the skill checks for dialogue options, but you can pick a result that winds up burning a bridge.
