I'm afraid your barking up the wrong tree if you think such a device would offer fear from us!

Not sure if that joke/saying will work to anyone outside my local.

Oh and PrisonerSix, Please dont rile up Alguidar as some of us Imperials have to live with him ;)

Son of a [censored] [censored]. The [censored] forum ate my post, and it was a damn long one too. [censored] pisses me off. :banghead:

I'll post tomorrow night. Too tired and mad to post now.

I think I'll just fall asleep over there. Yeah over there. On asap's tree.
Someone wake me up when Leandra and Jormaw have gotten through The Soul Cairn, Shade Perilous, Chimera of Desolation,
Havok Wellhead, then Mehrunes Dagon to save Fiona. Haha. Fiona would have move into that dunmer's tower in that case.

If anyone takes this seriously, I will beat you to death with my lightning rod. You have been warned! :sorcerer:

Would Leandra turn invisible for about a second, from licking vampire dust? That'd at least be a certain way to identify it, even if you can't place it by the look and taste. :P

Good idea Gorbad. I'll be sure to make Jormaw mention that after I'm done reading through all these RP posts and get to writing one for myself. Heh.

just wondering, I've already posted Itan-Ru's cure, but just in case I need to cure a disease later in a different method are we doing the whole "Prayer can cure all ailments thing"?

Well hopes that fills any requirements for my post. I was looking to get most of the points of the story connected and a new plot point made.
These new findings could hope to draw parallels with the earlier mentioned attack of an illusion based vampire upon the roadside.
Leading to the idea of a holding out group of vampires lairing somewhere near Valton. With Fiona as their prisoner, for reasons not yet known.

~~~
Hopefully the Jarl could muster a group of locals to attack this 'semi-daedric, illusion based volkihar clan'- after all, his guard is quite depleted.
And I can't help but think a few argonians, a daedra hunter, a werewolf, as well as some mercenaries could do well against these creatures.
The disease resistance will come in handy, as well as the knowledge and brunt of force. But such an event would need planning, coordination.
Kinda like the clearing of the mines. You'd have a few weak members to be protected, some otherwise leading the attack against them.
I'll let Vincent, PFA or Gorbad work out the details. But right now, it looks like a good plan. What do others think?
It may not be a clan at all... We cannot know what it is :tongue: (only Vincent truly knows the 100% details. I know some, but not everything.)
So a preparation to counter "anything", in a worst-case scenario a group of vampires, would be the way to go, if an expedition is to be made... But an expedition to -where-? Did the details in fiona's tower reveal a location? (as far as I can read what has happened, no it didn't...)
Prayer? You mean the silly shrine-thing found in the game of Skyrim? That's absolutely horrible IMO :biggrin: Only if a character is truly religious and truly to -that specific divine- should he be cured from a prayer. Otherwise the divine might just grant a pain-easing blessing or something. I don't like the idea of curing vampirism through a prayer at a shrine, or curing rock-joint, or curing swollen feet :tongue:
Just to note; I went to the chapel expecting some form of alchemy treatment that'd likely take a couple days to take full effect/fully heal. I wasnt planning on doing a quick "hail mary" and to be back on top form ;)
And dammit priest, I'm Roymund not Roylund! :P
You should of gone to the Doctor Jormaw. Dammit, he had everything ready and all! Roylund surely wouldn't be up for days.
Damn, why does no one ever take my suggestions. Him passing out in Jormaw's shack and going into a dream state would have been more fun.
Hell, if I got Jormaw to convince Leandra to come and be his shack buddy, they could of been doing surgery using Leandra's arm. *sniff*
But noo.. someone had to go and ruin it for a quick fix. :down: :tongue: :teehee:
All good points! and I see that you made a little edit there. Sneaky Gorbad. We should question those people though, still.
WITYM: I don't think there are any rooms available in the inn.
RE: Prayer effects:
IMO we shouldn't ignore the function shrines have provided in many TES games so far. On the other hand it is clearly ridiculous, so the best option is to take what happens when visiting a temple in game to be representative of something that makes a little more sense.
The cues here are medieval (and certain ancient) schools of medicine. I think the best way to simulate going to a Temple of the Divines to recieve healing, would be by the Priests there being educated in certain, rite-based modes of restoration peculiar to the Divine in question. So instead of some pure exercise of magicka, something that could envole anything from chanting, the recital of certain religious passages, ritual use of certain ingredients for their signifying as apposed to their alchemical properties, and perhaps even ikons of the God being invoked.
So, basically, the sort of stuff that priests have been doing for thousands of years, but it actually working.
RE: Fiona's Tower:
Some of Jormaw's guesses are wildly off. For one, there hasn't been a battle in Fiona's Tower - she really is that messy. The clues for solving the mystery are already out there, for the characters themselves to find. If you want a heads-up on any of the details just chuck me a PM. This is as near to MQ stuff as Valton has got yet, so the details, for instance, of what has happened to Fiona are important. Characters can have whatever theories they like (and to some extent the GMs can react to this), but for now it works remarkably well keep a bit of narrative tension going on for the players by not revealing anything.
If you do want any information for your posts, do PM me though. Obviously at some point we'll have to make the switch to dramatic irony.
Vincent, you should just post up what we should avoid instead of giving us all the gory details in a PM.
Hell, this goes back to the 'treading on eggshells' comment. I don't want to do ALL the background research because it's a little off.
I'm in an RP to RP. I don't want spoil the details even for myself nor do tons of 'rule PM'ing' to find out what's ok.
I suddenly feel like a Star Wars expanded universe comic book writer (yes, you can count the lazy side to that profession) trying to work around George Lucas's 'unknown future works'. :rolleyes:
If something isn't 100% correct or to your liking, take it as character based, in narrative, theory making.
I think I covered it all in my post. Your characters can have as many theories as they like, but the truth of the matter has been pre-decided. That is the structure of this quest. Not a matter of "rules", as you say, just common sense. You control your own character, not the universe in general. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "background research". Don't reveal what the mystery behind Fiona's disapearance is.
All the details that PFA had in Fiona's tower I had sent him the moment he accepted the quest, in a PM. ;)
We might as well move to evening now. We'll stay in evening until every current conversation (and such) is finished, then we'll eventually move to night-time. If anyone has things they still need to do in the after-noon phase, do them in the evening phase.
Edit: "WITYM" you can still edit the post about the room at the inn, since no respond to that post has been made yet and prisoner six isn't online to read the original and be confused of that fact that it changed. Even if he is, a quick look in the OOC-thread will reveal to him what the editing was about . :)
You're welcome. This was also before Jormaw kind of tacked himself onto someone else's quest ;).
Any more information I'd send to both of you now the two of you are doing this together, don't worry.
I posted a sort of "time stop" post there, where our chars will pretty much wait for Jack to respond before doing anything else.
I'll open a new thread while I'm still online.
