info on mysterious hero

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 3:34 pm

Ok been reading ingame books and was wondering if its a past game or theres some books I overlooked on the mysterious hero that found the eight pieces of the staff for the dark elf lady because the emporer at the time was being impersonated by this mage. Now I have foumd some books on the dark elf lady, but I havent foumd anything on that imposters death or what exactly that mysterious hero went thru.
If anyone can let me of the game or ingame books or even tell me what happened to those two and where to find details.
Thanks a bunch :)

Hmm, I have no clue but it did sound like you were mentioning the Bard from the Real Barenziah who went to get the staff of what's its face or something.
in fact that fits it quite well o.o
Barenziah = Dark Elf lady, Bard = person getting staff pieces, who then impersonated the emperor.

Edit : I don't recall anything on the punishment, all i know is that he Impersonated the emperor so he could be with Barenziah.

The Bard was Nightingale, who went to get the staff for Jagar Tharn, who impersonated the Emperor not to be with Barenziah, but due to power-lust or to help his Daedric masters.

Jauffre? Surely you don't mean THE Jauffre? I never thought of him that way before...

It's actually way up in the air, but it's possible. Though I would like to add some food for thought. Originally, there was plans for one to be able to import their character from Arena to Daggerfall. Obviously that didn't happen, but it's something to consider.

While I personally like the idea of the eternal champion being stepped on by a giant robot I have to point out in the daggerfall chronicles(offical guide written by bethesda) there are two birthdays one for each champion.

One way of getting around that would be to say the warp had more of an effect than was seen and the eternal champion was born on both dates. So theorically you could have Jauffre be the eternal champion but not the daggerfall hero who is also the eternal champion. but for simplicitys sake lets go with two diffrent people.

The histories can't be sure of his birthday, and this is understandable.

Numidium didn't step on the Eternal Champion, so much as press him into the metacosmic mud and leave him there. Uriel would need him again.

Yes, and Caius Cosades is the Hero of Daggerfall.
Seriously this is just another prime example of what was discussed in the "Sul" thread.

So are we to not accept that the information given to us by an official guide as lore? There are things from each of the game guides that can't be found anywhere else. Are we to disreguard this information even if its not disproven anywhere else?

Clearly, the Eternal champion was an eldritch abomination, summoned from beyond the Wheel by the Doomstones and Runestones. All the protagonists are eldritch abominations, terrible creatures that kill gods with impunity, doom nations, and enslave the thrones of Misrule.

Right. The guy who collected the pieces of the staff is known as the Eternal Champion, the protagonist of The Elder Scrolls: Arena.
