Recently got a new laptop.
I opened the game and it is running in a smaller than fullscreen fullscrnee mode. I don't know how to fix as its really annoying not being able to utilize fullscreen on a 15.6" laptop screen.

Black bars on the sides? Use external utility to switch game resolution to widescreen.

what kind of external utility?

Morrowind Graphics Extender (MGE), Morrowind Resolution Changer, Morrowind FPS Optimizer or manually editing Windows Registry entires in regedit.
