FEATURES:
-Reflect and bump maps for those pesky windows (currently imperial house, skaal village, and mournhold exterior sets supported)
-You won't be able to see your ugly face reflecting in them! :cool:

:ahhh: NOTE: This mod DEPENDS on the Morrowind Code Patch to look its best! Get it http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19510, and make sure http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/310/mcpl.jpg when installing. :ahhh:

DESCRIPTION & MORE INFO:
Awhile back I made http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1171568-ideareq-reflectgloss-mapped-windows/page__view__findpost__p__17277308. In that thread, I wondered why no one had added reflect maps to the windows in the game and I came to the conclusion that no one had thought of it, but now I am beginning to suspect it is more because this kind of work is incredibly tedious!

Thanks to help and advice from Chaka, Chainy, AOF, Fallen One, and Dirnae I've learned how to apply what I think are some attractive reflect and bump maps to .nifs. Now all that is left to be done is go through every single mesh with a window in the game and apply the appropriate maps to each.

RECOMMENDED:

TO-DO
-More windows...
-Support for Windows Glow (w/ night sky reflect maps)
-Unique interior reflect maps for every set (w/ bump maps)

Thanks Knots.
I know how tedious this can be, when you're not an expert in modding. Tried to add reflect maps to an armor mesh , was even successful & overwrote the result when I started to play Morrowind some weeks back. :swear:
Though I was sure I had a backup....

This is definitely appreciated.

@Chaka
Thanks for all your help!

@Taddeus
That's the idea. I already have normal maps made for most of them, mostly all I have to do is go through mesh by mesh, now.

@Fulgore
Glad you found it useful. The guide is due for a few updates

Those are nice, but where did the roof texture on the right side of the first picture come from?

Updated to v0.2. Mournhold windows are now included, as well as the textures they are based on by Colt17.

Colt did Windows Glow Tribunal. However, for now this pack is NOT compatible with Colt17's mod. I will remedy this very soon, I know exactly what needs to be done, I'm just knocking out the vanilla windows first.

I swear those windows look like TESIV windows, or even better. Fantastic work!

Updated!

v0.3 changelog...
-Skaal Village exterior windows now have reflect & bump maps!
-Imperial, Mournhold, and Skaal windows are all mapped to seperate reflect maps
--Right now, all of the reflect maps are identical. In the future, each set will have its own unique reflect map based on shapes and colors most likely to suround the given set

Note: This mod is STILL not compatible with Windows Glow - Tribunal or Windows Glow - Bloodmoon. It should however be technically compatible with the original Windows Glow although the night time meshes will not have reflect/bump maps. Once again, these meshes will be added in a future update.

This basically wraps up all of the exterior reflective surfaces in the vanilla game that are not amber windows. Depending on what I feel like, I may either start on the interior imperial windows or try to get something good looking out of the amber (dark elf) windows. So far I have not been able to make the maps look particularly great on these amber windows but I have a few ideas I haven't tried out yet.

Because of the animated windows.

It is compatible with HD Architecture Meshes and you can use it with Windows Glow if I am not mistaken so long as you install this after windows glow. However, Colt17's Windows Glow expansions don't work with this yet in that if you use Colt17's plugins with this replacer, you won't see the reflective day time windows in Bloodmoon and Tribunal.

I've said so before and I will say it again: I will be fixing these issues. The big plan here is to come out with a pack that has ALL Window related mods packaged together with enhancements, including Windows Glow.

Yes, please. Windows glow and all its expansions and retexture and stuff = confusing and disorganized.
