(Released) Morrowind Random Encounters

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 4:18 am

I had encounters that are actually quite illogical: a dwemer sphere on a road, or ghosts outside tombs, for example. Beside this, quite well done although I'm not sure about the thing he copied from Skyrim...

Ghost is haunting the road.
The Sphere was built by a Breton but this Breton lost control of it. You can find the Breton on the road as well.

Most common reason why people have Dial-Up is cause all other servies cannot be gain where they live..

As someone who lived in rural areas where the cable companies just wouldn't put in high speed, I can safely second this. I was on dialup for a decade because of it. It was only after a second move that I could get anything faster.

Yeah.. I am stuck where I live for over another year... Maybe more, depending on my luck of moving out.

Alright I can safely say I was wrong, mostly. My internet is through Verizon and works over the phone line though(its not dial-up, we have filters so the signal doesnt mess with phone calls); although I suppose they would have to have a server nearby to avoid long distance and such.

The last option is to get someone else to help you over the net. I would suggest simply using the service called Dropbox to upload your files to and then giving someone the link so they can download and than reupload it somewhere you want. Dropbox also also has a shared folder option.

I know random encounters from FO3. I will have a look into it.

I'm quite sure that less than 2 % people who have internet use dial up in Germany. Even our surfsticks (those mobile stuffs that use the umts) are much faster. So... never imagined this. Just wow.

Okay, Jusey1, so far I have uploaded them all under one page on TESNexus. I haven't added screens yet, but here is the link:

http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=42071

They are all on that single page since it is easier. I can have them on TESAlliance tomorrow as well if you'd like.

He's just a boss. Like from..whatever Jusey1 said he was from. I took the info straight from the readmes and the DA page. It's all I could find.

What does "nomad" do ?

Nomad is a boss with 10,000 (12,500; explain a bit below) and has two primary weapons. His first is a spell that can deal a damage between 1 - 300. His 2nd, which he shouldn't used until the end, is a spear with damage 1 - 250. His spear is like 10 times faster than normal and he can easily do like 5 hits in about 2 seconds so do not underestimate his melee attack. He also has scripted events! When his health drops below 8,000 he will place up mines in the area that will cast spells at you when you get near. His next event is when he is below 6,000 health, he will summon up 3 clones of himself (The clones only do 1-50 points of damage each and die in one hit. Also, activating a clone will make it vanish). He also has another event but this one is rarely done correctly, from my tests. What will happen is your controls will be disabled for a few seconds and he'll cast a spell that does up to 750 damage (One time only cast). Normally, he doesn't cast it and switches back to his normal spell. Strange, right?

After that, when he gets to 2,500 health, his health is reset up to 5,000/5,000 (Which gives him 2,500 more than the original 10,000 he had). The next time he reaches 2,500 health, his magicka will get set to 0 then he is force to use his melee attack. This part is normally the deadliest since there isn't any good hiding spots within his lair so you better be ready to dodge him and kill him.

If you do defeat him, you get his spear and whatever he was wearing.

Does that sum it all up for ya?

I'm just curious, what items/race does Nomad use? I've played Runescape for a while so I wondered how you made him look in MW.

Well.. Since I totally svck at creating files for new armor/race/etc for Nomad, I decided not to bother that too much. I did made Nomad an Imperial, gave him a Robe, some Daedric Armor, and the spear that looks like his spear on RS, or closes to that look.

No prob. Especially since TESNexus was split into Morrowind Nexus and Oblivion Nexus. That makes it easier to find Morrowind mods.
