i just tried healing my conditions at the church but they said "Repent your crimes, wicked one!"
i thought i had asked before or saw someone else had but i can't find the post. what do i do to get the favor of the church so i can get healed?

For the chapel altars to work for you, your infamy must be lower than your fame.

or you could just drink a cure disease potion, if you've got a disease that you need healed. Or eat a mandrake root. Both will take your disease away.

Or you could do the pilgramage (sic?) of the Nine, pray at the nine different wilderness altars and have your infamy wiped clean.
