So i was exploring earlier and came across the sick town that is andale, it crossed my mind that Andale it almost like the same story as hot fuzz o.O
Nice town, (Apparently) Best in USA/England? Keeping the town unaware of the awful reality?

Yup, I had a strange feeling as soon as I entered Andale. It was just too quiet, nobody was shooting at me hahahaha

I knew there was something wrong right away. Everyone was far too cheerful and happy for the wasteland. That explains why I don't trust Moira Brown too.

LOL Moira Brown is just annoying, but the Andale people were actually creepy.

I [censored] my pants and just high tailed out of there. However, they didn't want me to know their secret, so a couple of mines and missiles blew them off the map.

I then proceeded to eat their bodies.

I want a house in Andale. It would be so much more convenient to have a place there to crash with a fully belly after dinner than to have to hoof it back to Tenpenny. Those ladies are some fine cooks.

ive had many playthroughs but whenever i discovered Andale i just shrugged it off and continued on
Yeah I was just having friendly chats with the kids til i decided to speak to some of the advlts, they seemed nice but far too cheerful for the state of their sorry ass town (I mean cmon, TOWN OF THE YEAR!?!) So i decided to speak to the kids some more to see if they had any knowings of what was going on, they mentioned a shed and a basemant so i was like 'Hmmm, this cant be promising' So i stole the key.Checked the Shed.Puked.Stole the other key.Checked the basemant.Puked.
After all this i decided [censored] THIS and was heading out of town until i was stopped by one of the parents who had apparently seen me sneaking around, i denied it but he seen right through me. After i killed the parents and being mentally scarred for life, i went back to Megaton and cried myself to sleep. THE END.

I got the Hot Fuzz impression there too. I thought to myself "well it's a small town, probably nothing here but why is everyone so happy here? There are wild things spawning in the area and that Talon merc in D.C. nearby is pissing me off!" and of course after some digging around.....I found out and agreed to keep it a secret.

Heh...Andale was the first town I ever came across when I left Vault 101 for the 1st time. Instead of going to Megaton, I said "screw this, I'm going to do my own thing" and I ended up heading South. I wandered into Andale and saw and spoke to this little kid, who seemed rather pleasant enough. I noticed the shack was locked...then I went into Old Man Harris' house and he went on his rant about the other members of the town and he pleaded with me to leave. I was like "Huh?" and left his house and saw 1 of the dads outside. I spoke to him--he seemed nice--and he told me the old man was just being crazy. well, I went into 1 of the other houses, met one of the moms, and found a key name "Andale Shack" or something like that. I unlocked the door and walked into the shack and saw what I saw (won't spoil it for anyone). The horror and realization of what I saw dawned on me and I said "I'm outta here!". But when I left the shack, the "advlts" of Andale (Old Man Harris excluded) confronted me and I could see they had weapons. I decided to get bold and accuse them...and boy it was a wake up call when they suddenly started attacking me and tried to gun me down!

Considering I had just left Vault 101 and I only had a baseball bat and a pistol in my inventory, I bolted and ran west...sneaked under this little bridge right next to the town and hid there by the radiated water. These family members (the Wilson's and Smiths, I believe) were looking for me and I could actually HEAR 2 of them conversating about me (they couldn't see me bcuz they were on top of the road/bridge while I was under it)! I had to attack them slowly... 1 by 1 until they were all dead.

Long story short, my first experience in the Wasteland scared the crap outta me!! It really got me hooked on this game. So far, its been a brilliant experience.

I don't remember the exact details, but I remember the first time I bumped into a Super Mutant: I had completed Oper: Anch and gotten the cool-as-hell chinese stealth armor. Well, right after that I discovered Big Town and started that quest to rescue the town doctor (and another resident). I ended up having to put on my stealth armor bcuz I bumped into a gang of super muties at the Germantown police precint area. I ran away from this one mutant (he started shooting me from behind through a fence. I tried to shoot back but my VATS was at 0%). I switched to my stealth armor and hid by this tent. The Super Mutant somehow walked close to my location and I could actually hear him taunting me.

Well, anyways...I guess what I'm trying to say is those parents from Andale said something similar while I was hiding from them, too.

It's chilling to hear lol
