Were can I find a bed?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 1:00 am

Ive just got the game today and arrived in Megaton. Im used to playing Skyrim so looking for an inn lol. but to rent a bed in this game seems very expensive also you have to hire a hoker as well! Saying my character is female she wouldn't really appreciate it. So is there any way to get a room cheaper than 150 and no prosttute with it?

Hey, just got the game too.

If I tell you it will be a definite spoiler so.......
Spoiler
Talk to Lucas Simms, the town sheriff, and ask about the bomb in town. An option to say that you will disarm it will appear. Say you will disarm it. You need a explosives skill of 25 to activate or disarm the bomb. If you disarm the bomb, Lucas will reward you with the empty house in Megaton.

I as well thought 120 caps was stiff but then I remembered that FO3 is way more RPG orriented than Skyrim. Therefore you can kill anybody, [censored] your quests up, and a room isn't only a penny to rent. There's a lot more like that but you get the point.

So far I'm loving FO3 and I hope your enjoying it as much as me.

Just go to the common house. There are free beds there. Even though the softness of the matress is from lice.

Oops, I also forgot to mention. You can find beds just about anywhere (for me so far) when you go wandering or are sent to a certain place.

OK It defiantly seem abit more gritty than Skyrim I guess im going to have to find some lice infested mattress to sleep on lol. Problem is I got to megaton when its dark so there no one around and cant see the place that well.

Turn on your Pipboy light to help you get around in the dark. Hold down Tab on PC or B if on 360 :)

If you are on PC, hit "T" and then just wait until morning. I don't know what the button is on 360/PS3.

while the rental bed costs a pretty cap you don't have to sleep with Nova, she's just a free option

I don't wait, it doesn't feel right. I'll stick to manually waiting. ;)

LOL that reminds me of the first time I played FO3. I only discovered on my 2nd play-through that Megaton is REALLY close to Vault 101. I ran around the wasteland exploring and wondering how far Megaton was. hahahaha

But yea, go to the common room, you can sleep there for free. ;)

All the beds in common room seem to be owned unless in missing something? :ermm:

There's a bed under the bridge just north-northeast of Super Duper Mark. Just watch your step (for a land mine).

yes your right , these other yahoo's just forgot there is no warm bed in megaton except in Nova's arms. She was worth it too.
Not metioning the Bleeping Bomb for spoiler reasons.

The quicker place to find a bed is the super duper though.

However ... there is no real reason to use a bed except one you own ( meaning Ten penny or Megaton house) inwich case you become well rested , then you gain more xp. But I myself never cared about more xp (never took that perk) IMO leveling faster just robs you of a more fullfilling play through. each to their own though

What I prefer to do is rest through the wait funtion (meaning I can sleep anywhere I want) For every 4 hrs ,,, I use 1 stimpak
Other than the wait funtion , I dont use stimpaks. Thats what food, drink and blood paks are for.

It helps to take a little note when you do come across a bed - there are some in old caravans, abandoned houses, that kind of thing. Some are nicer than others. Some have owners who won't care any more :(

You can in fact not sleep in any of the beds in the common house.
