Hello to all,

today i bought the Fallout 3 Game of the year Edition. My problem is i cant install the game. When I start the setup.exe from DVD 1 I receive a message that an error has occured during setup process. Error Code -5006 : 0x8000ffff

I have tryed running setup as administrator but the Error message still prevents me from installing the game.

PLS someone help me!!

My System:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz
4 GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 5570 1 GB Ram

Go to windows.com and enter the error code in the search area and you will get your answer.

What I have found out so far is, that there might be a problem with the GraphicCard. I try to reinstall and update the driver. Anyone else with good ideas?

Edit: I installed the last and new driver for my graphic card but I still have the same error when I try to install the game.

i found out that the game maybe is not compatibl with Win 7. I also have found topics by searching google to this error code. It seem its also on Vista and XP systems.

Is anyone playing the Fallout 3 GOTY Edition with a Win 7 64 bit system ?? Or maybe I have only on my system the problem?

I play Fallout Goty on a Win 7 64 OS on a more modest system & it runs fine for me
