Maybe the winner picks a title to be chosen the following month. So, while the judges are deciding on who won in say, March (congrats MrSmiley) they give the winner of February's title on the 1st of April.

An emotional state in which a person feels a situation to be hopeless and without satisfactory options. Decisions made in desperation may be more rash, impulsive, and inappropriate than those made in a rational frame of mind.

Also, I like the above idea. If it appeals to others I'm more than fine with the judges picking April's topics and this one, or another, can be done in May...or whenever.

It's why I don't submit anymore guys.. I can't think up a story and write it in two weeks..

That is my problem. I like to research facts, or lore, so my story is correct. With 4 kids, work, and after school activities, sometimes (most of the time) a couple of weeks is not enough time.

Well, we could extend the time for this month over to the next WHILE still having May's contest running at the same time? Not that the April Edition Will go over two months - just make up for the time it lost. Does that work? I dunno. Sorry guys for being late. I can understand. The judges and I will go over it - try to work things out and whatnot. Again, I apologise :/
