BuildingsStructures you want to see in the next Fallout game

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 6:25 am

I want a real open world with destructible buildings (most of them at least). I want bethesda to stop with all those sad maps more like tunnels than real towns. freedom is the most important thing now we just have a sense of freedom not real freedom.

They have been defeated three times, it would be ridiculous to have them come back with any sort of power in the next game.

The idea of skyscraqers still standing isn't totally unreal. Take New York for instance, if a nuclear bomb were to drop on manhattan, the likely drop zones are Central Park (leaving a gaping hole of radioactiveness in the middle of Manhattan Island) Somewhere near Times Square (this would likely obliterate Downtown) and up past Central Park, catching a lot of civilians. Now if the Chinese in the Fallout Universe dropped bombs in these three locations, New York would be uninhabitable for a long time, and the only reason Skyscraqers would still be standing would be if the Downtown bomb malfunctioned on it's way down, causing it to not detonate.

Now thinking about it, that would make good plot twist for the final quest if the game were to be set in New York...

I'd like more variety. It just seems that Pre War America had only one architect and one interior decorator. Despite how much I liked the suburban areas for raiding the cupboards, first aid kits and wardrobe, every house was almost identical, they had the same double storey foyers/living rooms, where the windows were placed as two separate floors, all with dormers but no attics etc.

I'd like to see such things as communities inhabiting a 50s era Santa Fe/Super Chief style train, or log cabins amongst redwoods, or in a trailer park, or on an ocean liner.

I actually like the train idea a lot. As for same exterior and interior style that's Beths doing, in the previous Fallout's most of the furniture had rotted away, not much over a single story was left intact, the floor's had either rotted away or been covered with top-soil and all the buildings were devoid of wallpaper, carpets and the like.

These are the following buildings I would like to see.

1: Factories that manufactured T-51b and T-45D Power Armor and are heavily guarded.

2: Factories that manufactured Robobrains I would love to know how they were built and whos brain is in the bubble.

3: Factories that manufactured Vertibirds and maybe some one made one of the Vertibirds hulls into a house.

4: Police Station with ghoulified police officers and SWAT officers with riot shields and Police officers and SWAT officers could teach the player moves and maybe a SWAT ghoul companion and some quests.

5: A hospital with a vault in the basemant.

6: Factories that manufactured United States Army trucks.

7: A tower or hotel that has androids living in it like Harkness from Fallout 3 but they don t have any skin just bare metal.

8: A shopping mall thats infested with mole rats and rad roaches and maybe ghoulified mall cops and store clerks and a lot of items to scavenge.

9: A vault with Brother Hood Of Steel members inside.

10: A factory that makes the sugar bomb cereal.

11: Underground Enclave base if it's Chicago.

Art-Deco buildings.
More realistic houses (looks like someone afraid of the reds lived there like fallout shelters in the back)
More you can fully explore really

I want to see:

-quarintine stations
-ranger stations (Wd FONV)
-missile silos (outside of DLC's)
-Vaults with more entertaining mysteries ( VAULT 22 WAS HORRIBLE )
-more insight on inhabbited vaults,
find one in operation or something.
-Abandon enclave/bos bunkers (like the one in dead money)
-Less pointless cazzador infested shacks (atleast have some loot in them or something.)
-some place with simmilar geography to point lookout.
-make vaults slightly easier to navigate.
-maybe atleast 3 major vendors (eg. gun runners, silver rush.)
-have a functioning drive in cinema, as in you can watch actual fallout themed movies. (probably
50's - 70's themed.)
-more pre-war insights like operation anchorage.
-bring back the BoS outcasts.
-more 50's themed pre-war lifestyle.
-more ENCLAVE

Aside from the things I crossed out, I completely agree. It would make sense to have more abandoned structures from the Enclave and BoS. I think the idea of an actual working drive-in cinema would be really cool.

Couldn't agree more. Like for instance- even in Old World Blues, in Higgs Village, the houses were like carbon copies...

An actual slaver town, not like paradise falls, but like a cross between rich folk, slave buyers, poor folk, just that the slavers are in power. . An arena where for entertainment slaves fight each other or any merc who wants to give it a go.

Slaver caravans making rounds to towns to sell slaves.

BoS/Enclave bunkers, with hidden or lost secrets. Manned and unmanned.

Non-Vault Vault-Tec vaults, build for rich corporations/people.
