Post » Wed Nov 18, 2009 2:43 am

Hey there,

i am trying to compile together a list of necromancer mods. The Evil mod list and the Mages Mod list are a great start, and i have checked them out already, i am just wondering what else is out there??

Also what is magical trinkets? I.e what does it do? is it worth getting?

Also i am looking for schoolar tyoe mods, i.e soul gem crafting, more books, libray mods, mage quests ect.... Thanks :D

I know it isn't much help but just try going to planetelderscrolls.com and searching by key word stuff like "Witch" "evil" "necromancer" "mage" "spirit" and anything that could link you to a necromancer style mod.

Magical Trinkets of Tamriel adds lots of new magical gizmos and doodads to the game. It has some fairly brilliant scripted items in it that let you do very interesting things like spend magicka points over time to maintain certain magic effects (so, for an example, you can spend N magicka points per minute to maintain water walking), but just one example can hardly describe all the myriads of things you can do with this mod. So, I think it's worth getting.

And version 4 does have some necromantic type features, you can raise undead minions, for example.

Edit: You really should check out the Ioun stones. They are really cool.

Nicholiathan's http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=834249&hl= doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves IMO. It has a library with an excellent sorting function (combined with a book collecting quest) that works with Book Jackets. Works very well with Nicholiathan's http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=632008&hl= which is sort of a must for book collectors IMO. It also has a Soul Gem Crafting feature but I haven't tried it out yet.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3186 is a general summoning mod with the option to create permanent undead creatures.

Quorn has created a http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5936 that has a nice necromantic feel to it.

10/10! If you had let me go any higher, then it would be higher. It is an absolutely awesome mod! Burn corpses, raise revenants... etc. etc. etc.

Get it :)

I did; I let you go to 16. Selfpwnt? LOL.

I like the idea of decomposing bodies myself. Does it work like I think it does? Leave a body somewhere and it turns into a skeleton?

The process works as described in the various Corpse Preparation books. You take a corpse and leave it out where wild animals and such can strip the bones clean. In this mod, you would leave a corpse somewhere in the Bitter Coast region and mudcrabs will take care of the work for you. Then you go an get your skeleton and haul it off to the temple, where you can then raise it from the dead.

I'd like to add Dormouse's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7580 to this list. I can't yet comment on its quality as I still have to play it.
