Easy Money for my power armor

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 8:23 am

So i recently bought Fallout New Vegas:Ultimate Edition, and oh my, it been ages since i don't play that master piece. but infortunaly, due to a patch, i can't use cheats to get money at Primm Casion anymore. And i need fix my t15b power armor, because it's almost breaking, but the cost to repair without Jugg Rigg perk is almost 10k caps! I do have that money, well, i got 14k caps by selling expensive stuff, but i don't want to lost that money because i want to buy weapons and use it on the future to fight tought enemies, bribe guys and complete quests. Does anyboy know's a way to get easy money?

Just scavenge everything. Other then that I'd suggest getting Vilified by either the Legion or the NCR. The NCR would be the better choice in two respects: their equipment is worth more then the Legion's and at high levels a Heavy Trooper will be present which you can use, with Jury Rigging, to repair your armour.

Seriously consider taking Jury Rigging. There's a very limited amount of T-51b power armor in the game, and as you said it's insanely expensive to repair. Not to mention, you can really exploit Jury Rigging by exploiting the fact that some weapons of the same class are worth a lot more than the others - the expensive hunting rifle, for example, can be repaired with the very cheap varmint rifle or single shotgun, and the 10mm SMG or .44 revolver can be repaired with the 9mm pistol or .357 revolver. If you do this even a simple Fiend-hunting trip can net you at least 3000 caps.

Kill the Gun Runner Guards. Sell their combat armor to the Vendortron. Wait three days. Repeat.

Wipe out the Van Graffs and sell all of their stuff (their armor, weapons, and all of the weapons on display).

If hit squads from the NCR or Legion attack you, kill the assassins and sell their weapons/armor.

Kill all of the Crimson Caravan Guards and sell their Lever-Action Shotguns. Wait three days. Repeat.

Attack Black Mountain; loot all of the weapons off of the mutants and nightkin; and then sell those (they use expensive weapons).

This is a great way to get caps. I raid the 6(depending on how they wander) groups of fiends west of camp mccarran and sell everything to the Khans(they seem to pay me more for than other merchants). I get thousands of caps every time even without juryrigging

Put all your points into repair and get jury rigging, it should only take a few levels and its the best perk in the game. Until then kill the gun runners gaurds inside the fence, sell their stuff and wait 3 days in a different area of the game to make them respawn.

The NCR hit squads became a major source of my income on my last playthrough. I had Jury Rigging and it got to the point where I had about four fully repaired sets of Ranger Combat Armour and I had to struggle to find places to sell them. The Helmets are about 1000 caps fully repaired and those suits are nearly 8000 caps each.

Legion hit squads are quite a good source of income as well as NCR hit squads. I suggest the sierra madre and take all the gold bars at the end.

the black jack table is an easy 10g per casino. the boomer heist, the van graff heist and the repeatable gun runner heist will score u 30-50g. and the heist of the century(dead money) will score u 100,000caps +

Roulette? Everybody can play roulette right?

Anyways, it doesnt sound like a big problem, u need 10k and u dont want to spend ur money, so find a way to make money. Its easy since ur in New Vegas and not the Capital Wasteland, go kill some fiends, NCR or Legion and sell that [censored].

Simply put, get as close to or 21 with the cards you are given. Jacks, queens and kings are worth 10, aces are worth 1 or 11. "Hit" to get another card. You can "double down" (which doubles your bet, but I think there is some criteria) or "split" to split two of the same cards you received so you basically have another turn.
Getting a "blackjack" (an ace and any 10) nets you 3:2 whilst any other win will just double your bet.

With a high luck, just hit anything above 17 and you should win by the dealer busting quite a fair amount. I hope this helped.
